PBEM46 tech thread

Greetings,

Would anyone be interested in playing in a new play by email game without any mods. I am happy to play against anyone from the best of the best to a brand new player. We can decide settings between us but I dont have any favorites in mind.

Hello!

Unfortunately, a new PbEM is just starting up right now, so if I had to guess I'd say most of those who are free have probably joined that game. You might be able to come dedlurk someone if that would appeal to you (it's PbEM 45). Best of luck getting a game started though!

Just in case anyone has changed their mind or has some more time the invitation to play a new game is still here.

I'm really sorry about this, man ... I just don't feel it would be wise for me to commit to a third game right now. I have the time now, but I don't know about come January. I don't know if this would appeal to you, but you could come join our team (or one of the others) in the Realms Beyond Demogame (http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=49). Our team (Menagerie-trois) doesn't have very many people on it, so you could have the chance to have a substantial impact on our play!

All the best,

THH

Thanks THH. I dont expect people to just drop everything to play with me, I'm happy to be patient. It just feels nice to throw the reminder just in case. I'll view the demogame and may well take your suggestion, thank you.

I would love to give PBEM a try, but I am not confident in my ability to consistently play a turn a day (a high quality turn, that is). I'm afraid that I would drag the pace down with my irregular schedule.

I currently play zero turns a day of multiplayer. It can't get worse, right?

Well, if you don't mind an irregular pace then consider me a sign-up. It comes in fit's and spurts, for example I might have three or four days where I could play a turn in both the morning and the evening, and then I might have a day or two where I'm out the door as soon as I can cram breakfast down and fall into bed when I get home.

Totally up to you though. I considered putting in a bid for a slot in the recent greens game, but because of this variability I stayed out.

I'd be up for mentoring you Cornflakes, and I can cover a turn from time to time if you let me know. Roughly how often might you miss a day?
