I guess I have a slight preference for scouting out M3's land, since they are our immediate neighbor, and the potential for future conflict is there since we weren't able to agree to a border deal.

From reading Civstats, looks like TEAM surrendered a small city for peace. Wow. TEAM really has screwed up their start to the game. Guess that's not very surprising given their roster of players
Why is this bad news? I guess it's always good when the other teams are fighting, but I for one am very happy to see TEAM lose a city to Pirates. Take that, team Jihad!

Has everyone met each other yet? If so (and even if not), how out of bounds would it be to start discussing this in the open? It still feels weird that I'm probably one of the ten most active people in the whole game, just because I'm still here. Everyone has an interest in keeping the game alive (unless you're just looking for an easy game ), so everyone should want to help solve this problem.

Scouting m3 appeals to me too.
And yes, what can we do to make it more fun? It probably doesn't help that the isdg is on at the same time and even that game is moving quicker than this one. Democracy games just don't seem to suit sequential.
+1 for putting a message in public about this, can we suggest moving to concurrent turns?

I've already said this, but here's my opinion: I think it's better to kill games that aren't being enjoyed rather than try to prolong them. Even if the problems that made people unhappy are fixed, the damage is done: enthusiasm is lost and teams are broken. It's much easier to get people excited about a new game, than to get them excited about a game that has seen drudgery and loss of the teammates they signed up with.
56 turns can be caught up to in a month or two, with proper settings. Teams can be built fresh out of current players. People LOVE the picking and early turns. People like having continuity in the leadership of an empire, as opposed to starting with a team, then losing all but one player, then gaining a couple substitute players after the empire has been totally zombified.

Well I really thought I took more pictures of this turn, but only two have showed up. Sorry about that. Warrior scouting at home:
We now have a trade connection with Menagerie. Writing for OB and trade routes would be good.

On the game discussion - it's my personal opinion this game cannot be salvaged, and it's just a matter of time before it dies. I mean, the game is dragging and we haven't even hit T60 of normal speed yet. However, I'm hesitant to say anything publicly because I don't want to speak for the team.
Anwyays, I think I'm going to have to step down as turn player. My interest in the game is gone. I'm not sure what to suggest though - if some of you guys want to try to salvage this thing I'll stick around and offer suggestions or whatever, but I do think trying to make a game out of this mess isn't worthwhile. Thoughts?
Oh, and we don't have a build chosen for Blades of Glory - that worker completed at EoT, and that was one part of the plan we hadn't decided on yet.

Are you sure you aren't speaking for the team at this point scooter?
You and SevenSpirits are directly considering killing the game
Old Harry and I want to put something in public about this
YossarianLives is wondering what to do to make the game more fun
The only active member who hasn't said anything is Merovech right? Isn't that enough of a consensus to say something? Admittedly, the turns are just now starting to pick up, so this would be bad timing, but something should be done regardless.

I don't have any problem saying something publicly about this, especially since the more established members of the team have no more interest in continuing. If the other teams say they want to keep playing, and there's someone on our team who wants to step in to the captain's chair, I would definitely stay active and try to take on a little more. But I guess I wouldn't be surprised if the other teams are feeling the same as us about this.

CH - I'm trying to gauge if you guys would rather me just step down and somebody take over, or if you guys agree that we should publicly suggest ending the game. I don't want to do that only to find out there's 3-4 of you who would love to plan/play turns, do diplo, etc. If nobody really wants to do that though, then we should talk about it publicly. If the other teams prefer to play on, then we'd find a way to do so, but I wouldn't be shocked if other teams want to end it too.
