WW17 - A Game of Thrones

Tasunke was the first vote on TT on day 3, and he stayed there. Uberfish just tends to list the votes in random order.

I actually did some very fast skimming since my previous post, just to check up on Tasunke. I still don't see him as scum. The exchange between him and TT at the end of day 2 doesn't look like scum vs. scum to me.

On the other hand, there was an exchange between TT and Sareln earlier on day 2 that looked more like scum vs. scum to me.

I realize that's all just handwaving, but I'd still prefer to lynch Sareln over Tasunke. Just because I'm having doubts doesn't mean I see any better options.

Please do enlighten me as to why you are sure I'm a wolf

If what I have said about Mattimeo counts as support then you have a very low threshold for that criteria.

Not being convinced of his guilt =/= support

(November 16th, 2012, 17:54)Tasunke Wrote: Ultimately though, it is a number of factors. For one, Ichabod built a decent case against you and then subsequently died night 1. Doesn't mean you were the one that killed him, or that it was done to protect you, but at least we know that he was a Loyalist. The fact that he suspected you is only a plus. Not that it is particularly corroboration though, since I wasn't looking at you with much suspicion (or any attention at all, really) until Ichabod mentioned you.

So that at least started my suspicions against you. Then, in my glorious brain gravy, I seem to remember you supporting several candidates that I felt were quite wolf-like. Among them is Mattimeo of course .... but I forget the other ones to be honest. I think they include Lewwyn, Coco, and Novice. Coco isn't particularly damning though, as although I wouldn't actively defend him, I don't have much of a read on him either (as I've earlier stated).

Still, I dunno, you just seemed to defend people at the times that I thought they were the scummiest. I don't particularly have a read on them now, but when they were in the wolf-zone, you seemed to pop out of nowhere and said "yea, that makes sense to me, I think these people are innocent."

And then there was that whole Lewwyn thinking Mattimeo was leaning villagery ... I dunno, could be reading more into it than is there.

----

Fake Crosspost: Nah, its not just Mattimeo. It's more than that, but at the moment my brain is too fried to put too fine a point on it. Still though ... I can remember at certain points during the past day/week of thinkin Lewwyn, coco, and Novice smelled a bit scummy, and then you showed up and somehow agreed with all the scummy bits. Maybe I'm just remembering things oddly, I'll have to go and check, but there ya go.

And yes, its just a cumulative intuition thing, nothing 'actually' damning. tbh

Here's Tasunke accusing TT at the end of day 2. At the start of day 3, Tasunke voted for TT and stayed there.

Apologies to Azza and Jkaen - they had considerably more posts on the QT so do actually have more than coco.

BUT

Sareln has as many posts as coco, and thestick still has less. So it becomes a possibly one in three crapshoot. Not the worst odds but still a shot I would rather not take unless we were more desperate.

Now I know Sareln is Sareln and silence is his middle name, but I think thestick has been ignored and has been just as 'useless' as coco has in terms of contributions. And unlike thestick, at least Coco seems to have tried to explain his difficulties and suggest he may at some point be better. Whether I believe that, I'm not sure. But I will remain in opposition to policy lynches as I always have, especially so early in the game

Here's TT defending Coco. Look how easy he is on Sareln.

Tasunke:

If he hadn't started arguing with himself, I think it would have been perfectly fine. Instead, the argument created just enough suspicion that perhaps everything isn't Tasunke that it acted as a net injector of general chaos. Random musings on multi-ID WW is just noise. IMO, Tasunke's SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) has been really low this game. As it is, that 2nd part is the most important bit. Lots of noise, little engagement with the game. I can sympathize (It's been hard to get engaged this game with the various locale shifts), and I suspect that it's two sides of the same thing - faced with nothing to engage with, Tasunke creates noise, while I shut up.

Mattimeo:

TBH, if you're just skimming the thread, Tasunke's name/ID changeups and self-arguing actually jumps out really fast. I don't find it that suspicious since it's in keeping with an aforementioned busy-ness.

Other Thoughts:

My first thought is that BRickAstley was killed in an attempt to land a mislynch from the 3rd candidate of the 3-way tie (TT, not checking right now). His death seems really weird to me, but on the other hand it must not be that weird if BRickAstley (correctly) saw it coming.

For now, I'm going to park my vote on Lewwyn

(November 15th, 2012, 17:41)Twinkletoes89 Wrote: Thanks for your thoughts Sareln.

But seen as you have given your opinion on Tasunke, Mattimeo and a bit on Brick, could you give us some thoughts on why you have chosen to vote for Lewwyn?

He's off baseline and I've got nothing better to go on right now. So dump on the pressure and see what happens.

TT, why do you think BRickAstley got killed in the night?

Here, Sareln makes a somewhat weak post "parking" his vote on Lewwyn. Note the gentle response from TT, essentially asking him to correct his mistake. Looks a little like scum on scum action to me.

Also: Sareln talks a lot about Tasunke there, but he doesn't seem to say that he's "way off his baseline". And I can't say I agree that he is.

BRIENNE

The horror of the events of the last few day weighed heavily on Brienne. So many murders. And now the supposed Lord Beric claiming to have killed an innocent little girl in the interests of the kingdom. It was enough to make her want to get out of the city and run around the Riverlands on a wild goose chase quest. But she still had a king to defend.

Suddenly she was seized by the gold cloaks and hauled to the Red Keep.

"You stand accused," said King Robert, "of killing all these people. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Erm... I'm being oppressed on account of my refusal to conform to medieval gender stereotypes," offered Brienne. "Also, this voting chart clearly shows that I'm not guilty. Have you seen my cousin? She's a highborn girl about this tall..."

"Wrong answer," said the king, motioning to the royal executioner. "I like women who know their place, I hate paperwork, and I hate being asked stupid questions."

In other news, Queen Cersei had been missing for a while. It turned out she had attempted to flee Westeros, but her ship was captured by slavers who sold her to the Dothraki. She didn't last a week.

Sareln, Brienne of Tarth, Loyalist was lynched day 4
Coco, Cersei Lannister, Traitor went AWOL and was mod-killed day 4
