Open borders with "no scouting"?

And is Math before starting a monarchy run worthwhile? We'll be pushing the happy cap mighty soon, so I don't know. Really wish we had ivory and gold from Tortuga cry

Have another micro question, how does a riverside financial cottage compare to a grassland farm in terms of value? I think since we're going to be struggling to keep our people happy in the next 25 turns or so that cottage is worth more than the extra food (plus the extra commerce will get us to Monarchy a tad faster).

Agreed, generally farms are for when you have happy and tiles to grow onto. Probably better to cottage it over.

Given our settling plan doesn't include any happy resources until City 3, I still say Monarchy over Mathematics, through the way of Polytheism. Polytheism opens Monotheism/Organized Religion, plus we might get lucky and get Hinduism. (Hey, wines are at City 2, another Monarchy incentive)

Turns are pretty quick now that we don't have war-related decisions. NOTE: I checked foreign advisor and everyone is now at peace, the early wars have come to a close.

Monday through Thursday the turns will be very inconvenient to play, so if someone else can plan on those it would be good (I certainly will not have time for anything but the most basic planning). This coming turn will probably just be log in -> hit enter. The following turn we need to move worker A, and I was thinking

T68: move 1NE, put a turn into cottage and then cancel action
T69: move 7,7,7,9 onto the forested hill to the northwest of Barbados, where where we can first chop the forest into a worker and then create a mine that can be shared with PR.

I decided to log back in and take a few pictures so here we are:

Hinduism is still up for grabs. We have enough gold to get us through Polytheism (6T), and maybe 1 or 2 more turns.

... AND I just noticed that I forgot to rename Cuzco to Havana ...

I was thinking we could chop the forest 1N of Havana with A instead of B and get the forest chopped T71 instead of T74.

Also, an interesting thing is that Gillette was apparently at war with TEAM at some point. Should we ask them about their war?

I haven't planned out any worker micro for B beyond the current corn farm he's building. For A I didn't know if we'd be wanting another chop so soon at Havana. We'll want to grow a few pop after the Terrace, which is why I suggested moving A up to put a chop into a worker at Barbados. I really haven't considered much else though. Havana's cows won't be pastureable until about T74 or 75. Like I said though, I'll be short on time Mon-Thurs so if you have time to plan better worker micro then great. If not ... whichever of us plays the turn can do what looks best.

Main thing is that it looks like it'll take a while for us to complete the Terrace naturally or by whipping; funneling 3 forests to get Havana growing onto more food, plus getting our riverside grasslands online, looks like a good idea to me.

Also, once the Terrace finishes we should probably swap Barbados to the grassland farm over the grassland Mine.

Well, I went with chopping the forest.

I think you'll have to remain at the helm through next Monday. Monday is my last day of classes and with a project in every class coming due all in this last week it's been crazy, and it's looking like I'll only be getting a couple hours of sleep each night as it is. Final exam week will be a breeze compared to this week! So after Monday I should be back around the forums like normal.

I'm not planning on logging into the forums until Tuesday. If something comes up and you need me to cover a turn it's ok, you'll just have to give me notice at my cornflakes116 gmail address (and try to do that with at least 12 hrs left on the clock smile ).

The Terrace was whipped in Port Royal, and the Terrace completed naturally EOT.

Barbados grows to Size 4 and the happy cap T72. I think we should build a Settler, while sinking hammers into an Axe to prevent hammer decay, and pop a Quechua out of Port Royal.

Gillette built the Oracle. Technically it was built in a faraway land, but they have Buddhism/Meditation and are at the top of the scoreboard.

This turn was another 'hit enter' turn.

Here's a shot of Havana at EOT:

Havana grows to Size 3 on T74. We currently have 24/60 hammers into a Terrace. Question is, how best to complete it?

I think we should let A's chop come in, then whip the terrace when Havana grows to Size 3. Using B to chop another forest into Havana doesn't seem productive, since we don't have any tiles for Havana to grow onto for Size 3.

What to do with B, I'm not sure. I'll see later.
