THE COUNCIL
There were just four people left in the council chamber. The king's brother Renly, Prince Tommen, Princess Myrcella, and Lord Beric. Lord Beric had been charged by the king to go out and deliver justice to the criminals and traitors plaguing the realm. Unfortunately, so far his results had been less than ideal; he'd completely alienated the Tyrells by executing Mace and Loras and even killed innocent little Sansa Stark. For some reason, no one really suspected him despite all this.
Beric began the proceedings. "So, it's pretty obvious who's the traitor here," poiinting at Renly. "He knows way too much."
The prince and princess just nodded. Apparently they hadn't gotten on with their uncle very well.
"What in the name of the Seven?" demanded Renly. "I've been rooting out traitors and bringing them to justice. You've been killing innocent victims in the name of the king and bringing disgrace upon the Iron Throne! And you dare accuse me?"
"That's because finding traitors is hard," replied the lightning lord. "The fact that I haven't been able to succesfully kill any traitors proves it. However, you've been able to identify traitors. Since you spend all your time chasing after the latest fashionable clothes, it's implausible that you could be any better than me at identifying traitors. Therefore, since you knew whom the traitors were, you must be a traitor."
Myrcella spoke up. "My brother is clearly innocent! And so is Lord Beric, because the king trusted him to kill people. Therefore, uncle, you must be guilty." Tommen said pretty much the same thing.
"Have you all lost your minds?" demanded Renly. "The traitor has to be Myrcella. Why would people go round telling her what they did at night?"
"Well her story seems to check out," muttered Beric.
"I'm only a little girl and have to go to bed now. I pray that you lords will choose wisely," said Myrcella, taking her leave.
"You know..." said Tommen after she left, "I'm not sure I believe her."
"Maybe she really is the traitor," pondered Beric. "No, clearly it must be Renly."
"This is complete nonsense!" yelled Renly. "YOU must be the traitor!"
"Well, that seals it," said the little prince. "No true loyalist would change their mind on whom the traitor was. Guards, take my uncle to the dungeons!"
Renly Baratheon cursed them all for fools as he was dragged away in chains and thrown in a cell. The jailer supplied him with plenty of cheap wine to drown his sorrows. He never woke up, as his throat was slit while he slept.
Pindicator, Renly Baratheon, Loyalist was lynched day 6

TYRION
Tyrion Lannister, the First of his Name, sat the Iron Throne for the first time. So this was what power felt like. A damnably uncomfortable seat, if truth be told. He had to use a stool to climb up on the thing - he'd pull himself up normally, but the sharp edges of the swords melted into the Iron Throne. Let the petty nobles snicker if they wanted. They were the ones who got the comfortable chairs. At least he didn't have to wear the Myrcella disguise anymore. Squeezing himself into that outfit had been painful.
Disposing of Beric Dondarrion had been easy. It was common knowledge he'd killed innocent men and women. He was declared to be a traitor and his head mounted on a pike to the cheers of the smallfolk. King Robert had gone on a journey to the North to apologize for the wrongful execution of Eddard Stark. It was an unfortunate coincidence that the bandits were exceptionally numerous and well armed this season. And Prince Tommen had decided to learn to swim. He was such a brave little boy that he did it with the handicap of his hands tied behind his back and a sack of rocks tied to his feet. A tragedy really.
A few of the lords might have objected to Tyrion claiming the vacant throne. But they'd all remained silent when he marched into the throne room with half the gold cloaks of the City Watch behind him and announced that his army was a day's march from the city. A total bluff but it'd bought him enough time to consolidate his position, make alliances, and blame all the killing on people who were dead and in no position to argue anyway.
He'd even offered to make his father Tywin the Hand of the King, knowing full well that the old man would take it as an insult and remain in mourning in Lannisport for his elder siblings. What Tywin had never appreciated, and would never accept, was that Tyrion's cunning would succeed where Jaime's strength and Cersei's beauty had not. Well, he had the last laugh.
There were wild rumours about dragons and snarks and grumkins having awakened, and Tyrion somehow had a feeling there was a grain of truth and a future threat there... he made a note to ship all the looters that had been rounded up from the rioting off to the Night's Watch. But for now, he had a kingdom to run.
