For those of you following this tournament at a distance, here are the current standings;

Also quite interesting is the live standings panel, which shows the current updated Elo rating:

That way its even more obvious how many games I have lost (alot through stupid errors)

Do you guys tend to pick up your moves on the go at whatever machine or iphone etc you happen to have access to, or do you assign a given time a day at your computer with books/apps etc where you can focus properly.

I think me playing some moves from the girlfriends phone down the pub probably isnt helping !

(That said my current rating i think is a much fairer indication of my ability, I came into this with an unrealistic rating due to small sample size of games. I also see a few other ratings that are swinging hugely over this tourney)

I play whenever I have a little bit of time here or there. Probably why I consistently make truly awful blunders.

Yeah, I've been doing a lot of moves on my phone because I'm in a different time zone and you guys move when I'm at work smile

But I just did my first really bad blunder and it was from my computer, not my phone bang

Damn you guys. Because of this thread I googled Kingscrusher and found his channel. As though as I would not spend enough time with civ already..

Anyways, I don't really care about long or correspondence games, but I do enjoy fast matches. I see them as nice brain teasers and there I have at least a chance to compensate for the fact that I do not know a single opening.

So, despite the fact that I will lose every single game, I would be in if you ever start a blitz tournament. 10/15 min counts for me as a blitz...

Just realsied, something I get that you guys on free membership dont is a computer review of the game (my games only)
