1b) novice is scum with azza and they have a mason safe claim

2a) novice is village and has some sort of other info from his role PM on azza or a daytime-seer action
2b) novice is scum and is saving azza (who is innocent) to get waterbat lynched
2c) novice is scum with azza, they don't have a mason safe claim, and intends to fake (2) anyway

3) novice is possessed and just causing trouble, and azza's alignment is unknown

I think the azza scum scenarios are less likely.

Definitely, I'm really not sold on waterbat but he seemed the only other viable candidate. Does anybody else think that lynching Azza anyway to get a confirmed Novice would be worthwhile? I hadn't previously thought of the risk of possessed and that's worrying me.
