I wondered at the time why Tasunke posted the deadline twice. If he just wanted to make it red and fat, why not edit the first post? In retrospect, the second post is using the hunters' color so I'm thinking it might be the deadline for their day kill. So in that case, the hunters killed Novice. And the werewolves and the dragon will probably make a kill each, tonight. (Not really going anywhere with this, just thought I'd note it.)
About my own play yesterday; what you saw was me making a bad read on Q and then hunting scum based on the assumption that he was innocent. I think my play was quite self-consistent if you just take my initial bad read into account. If I was scum with Q and wanted to save him, I think I would have gone about it differently. For starters, what was the point in engaging Serdoa like that? Mattimeo was gaining traction quite steadily at the time and really behaving suspiciously (and I still suspect him, although not of being on Q's team). I could have just pushed that through instead of going off an a sudden tangent, attacking Serdoa. I don't mind waffling a bit when I'm town, because I'm trying to generate information (and also, you know, trying to make the right choice). But if I just wanted to get somebody lynched, Mattimeo was right there and setting himself up as the perfect target. Basically, I would have played it much more like Serdoa did on day 2 in the last game; ignore the case against my buddy as much as possible and just push hard to lynch someone else.
I was going to write some more, but I guess on the off chance that the scum think I'm scum and decide to kill me I'll checkpoint now, since the deadline is here.
If you know what I mean.

Here's something I prepared earlier in case I don't survive the night

What makes you so sure he had any teammates?
This post is insincere and scummy.
1) zak spent the entire day trying to NOT lynch the arsonist
2) blatant attempt to appease azza after being on the policy lynch group
3) leading question aimed at role fishing and/or accusing me of bussing
Actually, zakalwe in general has been scummy.
Just read zak's posts from day 1, all he does is attack people voting Q which is an indirect way of defending Q. He never actually explains why he thinks Q is innocent except for "I got a feeling he was innocent" late in the day. The reason he's doing that is he doesn't want to be accused of directly defending Q, and thinks that because only serdoa gave a lot of reasoning it should be easy to start a counter wagon. He doesn't even give any reads on anyone else... it's telling that he starts lumping us together as "Q voters" on day 1. This would have been understandable if it was day 2 and Q had just flipped village. But it's day 1 and zak doesn't even have a logical case as to why Q is innocent. Anyhow this all fits with zak's typical scum MO.
I'll note that novice votes me and zak lets it pass without comment. Pretty sure village zak would have commented on that given the players involved and that he mentions me as a suspect. Scum zak doesn't want to directly engage me because he already has Serdoa dissecting his posts and the last thing he wants at this point is me doing it too. Too bad. I'm doing it now.
And given Q's scum flip zakalwe's attempt to suggest a bus which he later tried to pass of as a joke looks very bad.
Zakalwe needs to die.

Uberfish was praying in his chapel. He had a wonderful communion just last week, and it all had to get ruined by that damnable Arsonist.
So he prayed to the gods "Please, ye divine ones, let me have insight so that I may save this village!"
To his surprise and amazement, magical stirrings began to carve glowing letters upon the walls.
"There be Hunters, there be Wolves, and a Dragon too! Let me explain what ye shall do. Go down the the river, bring the portable shrine. And bring a young goat, that its blood may be mine."
Uberfish was exhilrated by this news. "By the gods of the Black Marsh! I never knew of such better luck than this!" So he grabbed his poultices, herbs, and ginger meats too, and off was he. Off to the local zoo.
"Good golly" he said, and was quick on his feet. "How quickly my histskin should meet with this meat."
But little did he know, that while going to the goat, he was made a goat himself, a proper stew for those of note.
"look swiftly!" Said Ichabod, while swiping his claw, he laughed and he cackled, with his large gaping maw.
"Now see here old Uberfish, your praying days are over. You should have prayed to not be prey. For now you're our dessert!"
And the wolves tied him down. They gathered all around. "For lunch! For honor! For hunger!" They roared with de-light.
"Lets eat! lets eat! Let us eat to-night."
So they cooked him and they sliced him over a spittle of fire. And they diced him and they sliced him till no-thing was left.
"Look at this!" one exclaimed. "He had a large tail. How could 'we' have missed this of our preacher we knew so well."
"Lets dine, to us ... a feast of the lizard. Shall we ce-le-brate, and have-a-jolly-well good time."
-------------------- (end the song and dance)
So with the Wolves devouring the lizard's flesh, blood coated their manes as they sunk their teeth, occasionally meeting bone. With there fearsome jaws they crunched through Uberfish's ribcage as if it was just some hardened cartilage on a chicken leg.
"Swoosh! Flap, Flap, Flap."
One wolf looked up, howled, and knocked Ichabod down as he scurried away.
"NO ONE HUNTS IN THIS VILLAGE BUT ME!!!!" Roared the dragon.
And with a mighty breath he roasted poor Ichabod on the spot. As the skin melted off his muscle, the hair slid down with the goopy lot. Then the muscle burned into the bone, and began to melt as well. Eventually there was just charred ash and bone.
--------------------
Meanwhile, Pindicator, the Seeker of Truth, was sipping on tea in his library. He was befuddled, he went after to kill someone, but they had dissapeared in a puff of Shadowy Smoke. Odd stuff that. He returned to the bookshelf to return the book he was reading. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure poured a magical poison into the brew.
Pindicator returned, satisfied with the new tome of his selection. He took a drink. He turned the page, and then he blacked out.
--------------------
In the morning, Bigger led the council to find those that had gone missing.
What they found was Pindicator's dead body, having shriveled into a lifeless husk. They found the charred bones of a large wolf, with a copper bracelet with "Ichabod" engraved on it. They also found what remained of Uberfish, still stuck on the Cooking Spit.
This ... this was going to be a long, long day.

True. Like I said, I was scumhunting. Who knows, maybe I was on to some scum, too, even if I had a blind spot for Q.

No, I think it's a boon that he's a confirmed innocent otherwise he'd almost certainly be mislynched. I certainly didn't mean to flatter him for his scumhunting skills.

The flip said "The Arsonist", very much implying a solo role (at the time). But you leaped right to saying I must be his buddy.

It doesn't. At least not any more than it fits my town MO. Take a step back and look at my play and explain how I would be more likely to do the things that I did as scum, than as town. I don't think you can. You're just throwing out a bunch of null tells to back up your intuition. (Even in the event that you're scum, it seems like you really think that I am, too.)

"Later tried to pass it off as a joke"? Read my post below. Do you not see the joke? This was in the middle of one of Q's long stretches of text split over multiple posts. It was a joke, that's all there was to it, even if you apparently didn't get it.
(December 11th, 2012, 05:28)zakalwe Wrote: Imagine what the quicktopic looks like if Q is scum:
Q: hey guys we shld totly bus me
Mattimeo: yeah, great idea
Waterbat: I'm on board with that
Azza: k
Uberfish: sure, why not
Serdoa: <wall of text>
Q: on day 3 or 4
Q: dammit
Cross-posting with Serdoa, will read and reply.
(Just in case this really is such a terrible joke that nobody gets it: the point is that Q is trying to say "hey guys lets bus me on day 3 or 4", but before he can get to the last part of the sentence, everybody else jumps on and buses him.)
If you know what I mean.
