About the "What the hell." - I didn't take it as something directed at the mod. I took it to mean "what the hell, let's take a chance / live a little". As in the last game, when I voted for Novice using those same words.
It reminded me of the game where MJW was scum, along with Novice. Not because of the wording, but because of the timing. He did a good job of staying under my radar then, until he "broke cover" very close to the deadline, when he saw a chance to save Novice from the noose, ultimately exposing himself instead. So that's why I was very interested to hear his explanation for yesterday's vote. I certainly didn't expect a full capitulation, though.
I think the part where he gets exasperated with the setup is in character for him. But I guess you can get exasperated with the setup both as town and as scum, so that's more of a null tell.
Still, my first knee-jerk reaction is that scum would never do this. On the other hand, I guess you could argue that the claim is designed to ward off night kills, which is a bit suspicious. A successful scum gambit would need to both establish him as likely innocent AND discourage opposing factions from killing him. His claim would fit the bill, at least on the second count. And that knee-jerk reaction of mine could be what he's hoping for, on the first count.
Yeah, that's a lot of waffling in one post. The only thing I can say for certain is that he'd be a better lynch than me.
Slowcheetah, reading your post reminded me about one thing Lewwyn did last time he was scum: he picked up on my Ichabod case after my death and carried the torch ("this one's for you, Zak"). That's very similar to what happened here, after Uberfish' death, now that I think about it.
If you know what I mean.

Why would scum jail me? Makes no sense. I'm now confident MJW is village.
I like putting a bit of pressure on Bigger. It does seem a tad suspicious that he's gone inactive since being voted mayor.

There were three kills, therefore all of the scum packs killed successfully. Therefore they didn't attack you, so MJW could have lied.

im here, calm down . I took a 24 hour trip to see my brother graduate with his masters in business. it was about a 4 hour trip each way, and I spent most of the interim with him and his wife, and trying to get my 16 month old niece to say my name (unsuccessfully, so far). I left my laptop at home. I did bring my smart phone, and have managed to keep mostly up with the thread, but didn't have the time or the inclination to login and post a response. Sorry for not warning you in advance, I didn't think it was necessary. I'll be active until lynch (minus sleep) and the rest of the game .
I will admit as I was reading the thread but not replying I was wondering how long it would be until someone noticed I wasn't here .
Can someone explain a case on Lewwyn? I don't see it.
Before MJW's reveal, I really was convinced we had two scum in zak and mjw (one hunter, one wolf). serdoa has done a great job documenting the case against zak, and uberfish and pindicator both dying after pretty much announcing they would plow head-first into him today is pretty suspicious.
MJW, on the other hand, is not acting his usual self at all. where are the tinfoil hat theories? where are the intentional misspellings of everyones name? where is the general spam?
His role-reveal just has me bewildered, tbh. In what universe does "villager" and "demon" belong in the same sentence? well.. in a universe created by Tasunke, I guess? Would scum-MJW claim "demon" as his role and expect not to get lynched? I'm left trying to play a WIFOM game with BOTH MJW and Tasunke.. which is not an easy thing to do, frankly.
In any case, we can't lynch both of them. MJW may or may not be scum, I really don't know. But I'm reasonably confident zakalwe is and I don't see a case against Lewwyn or any other alternate candidates atm.
The best we can do is kill a scum per lynch. we'll probably need some luck (more scum on scum violence) to win, but lets not get too fancy. If you read the old ww games it is shocking how often the village has a wolf dead to rights at the beginning of the day and ends up mislynching an innocent by the end of the day in the name of "not wasting the day" or applying pressure.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Morning folks. There's a lot going on and I've just skimmed through the thread, but this is what stuck out to me the most:

I have a feeling that the remaining elemental(s) are deliberately lurking at this point, to evaluate the rest of us. So there's a decent chance that all of the remaining scum have posted at this point. Lewwyn tried to guide you very gently away from Q yesterday, and I got a bit of a "I don't want my mislynch to slip away" feeling from him today.
Really Zak? I don't want my mislynch to slip away? Are you talking about you? Mislynching you is my priority for the day? If I were scum at this point wouldn't that mean I'm on a team by myself and I don't care who gets lynched as long as its not me? Why are you so particular about it has to be you and that you're my target and that makes me scum? That's ridiculous. If I'm scum anyone would do. Today I have been very specifically looking at you because I suspect you I also suspect Mattimeo.
Zakalwe I find this post scummy.

I've read through MJW's role reveal and I think he's legit. Two things.
1) This is not atypical MJW behaviour. He often reveals when he feels threatened or feels he's a bout to lose. WW2 he claimed baner Day 1. One game he was the last wolf and he turned himself in before the last day even started.
2) The game has 3 factions with lots of killing. A role such as MJWs would be a powerful villager role for both protection, scum confusion and possible retaliation.
So yes I believe him. Serdoa take a moment to think about it before you move to lynch him. If he isn't who he says he is it should become apparent quickly at night. We are much better off hunting elsewhere for the lynch.

While this is true, I also know the parallels to my last scum game. Considering that if I were scum today wouldn't it have been safer to stay away from you? I mean I'm simply not going to act out the same scum script. And given that everyone is being silent this game and when I'm awake I feel like I'm talking to myself half the time I really don't think it would have been necessary.
My point is similar to the last one. You are trying to say that I'm specifically targetting you and that it has to be you, but if I'm scum I WOULD NOT CARE who got lynched as long as it wasn't me. Isn't it much much more plausible that I simply suspect you and you're trying to discredit your attackers?

Slowcheetah I like your posts and I think they are pretty well thought out, but your attack on me is strange.
First I never "dropped" Zak's case. I voted for him first thing in the day, but it's two days slowcheetah. I wasn't just going to sit on him for two days while doing nothing else. That is a poor use of our only resource, time. I've done that before, sit on someone all day, and I've been wrong and it got me nothing. SO I voted for Matt to A) stir things up and B) see who would follow me. Unfortunately the villager has been so damn quiet that there wasn't really any movement until I went to bed.
I've trodden carefully around waterbat since?? I don't see this at all. First off Day 1 I never said anything to the effect that I thought waterbat was innocent. I had a basic null read on him. I interacted with him on some of the meta stuff because he answered but I was much more focused on other suspects namely, Azza, Mattimeo and Qg. On Day two I went back to look at who Ichabod voted for and it was Waterbat. I drew the conclusion that Waterbat is not a wolf and he's also likely not one of the other scum. He could be the SK, but I'm giving him a village lean. How am I trodding carefully? I started with analyzing a confirmed scum and then it led me to waterbat.
As for the bit about Serdoa being SK. Waterbat brought it up I commented on it and was curious who said it. I'm not sure what else to say about that.
The last part where I brought up the WW history. Go look when I said it. I was alone. Posting by myself. And bored. I was thinking about how I messed up and how three kills looked bad for the village. I thought it was interesting so I posted it. If anything I think its a null tell. I don't think it should give village or scum cred. I could have easily done it if I were scum.
Overall... this is sort of a weird because you've already stated you don't think I've acted scummy, but you think I'm scummy based on feel. Fine I get it because I've been there. Sometimes I've been right and sometimes I've been very wrong. This time you're wrong.

what's your time frame for tomorrow's deadline, Lewwyn - since Mattimeo (and Azza) are good, i was wondering what your availability will be.
I answered your query about the SK on my phone, so couldnt find out who said it - but was glad you asked because it reminded me to go back and look it up. Not sure your interaction with me has been "light" you seem to read me well when im not sucking up to you I also re-read Ichabod first - in part because you had - I didnt detect you were crafting anything out of nothing there.
what else, Bigger? if you couldnt vote zakalwe for some reason, who would it be?

I'm going to miss the deadline as usual. 22 GMT is 6 am for me. Why?
