The confusion is regrettable, but I'd say Nanotubes was a good tech to research in your situation regardless. Better naval units, sea boreholes and the subsea trunkline.
Ah, I had been wondering about that. One of them should probably be renamed or something to prevent confusion.

Hey Mardoc, while I was sailing towards the Hive coast, I discovered someone sneaking in your territory.

I don't recall issuing a general invitation
What are your intentions, Isk and Maniac? (and Sareln?)

Also, I've a game mechanics question for you, Maniac - worth checking before it's relevant, rather than after like I did with Nanotubes.
Invisibility. There's three kinds, I think? - Subs on Trenches with Deep Pressure Hull are invisible to anything but another Deep Pressure Hull unit
- Stealth units are invisible to anything but a Deep Radar unit
- Native life with the appropriate promo (forget its name) are invisible to everything on a fungus tile.
If a unit is invisible for more than one reason (say, a Stealth Deep Pressure Hull), it can only be seen if both are addressed? It might not have to be the same unit with both the Deep Radar and Deep Pressure Hull, but there has to be one of each in the area.
Is that correct?

Yes.
There's also probe team invisibility.
Note that when a stealth unit attacks another unit or pillages a plot, it becomes visible for a turn. It's also visible while damaged.

Which is probe teams and your unique unit promo only, can be seen only by anothe probe team or Hunter-Seeker Algorithm, right?
If I see a unit, I can attack it with anything, it doesn't have to be the spotting unit that does the attack, right?

Not sure what you mean by that? I'm the only one w/out units in your territory... am I missing something?

Well, that's kind of what I meant - Maniac is suggesting that there's more units in my territory than I was aware of, so I was inquiring if yours were around too. Admittedly I phrased myself awkwardly.

Ah, I think I get it now. Yeah, no, I've got nothing in your territory.

I assumed it wasn't a big deal. You have been poking in Sareln's territory too after all. If I had bad intentions for sailing in your territory, I certainly wouldn't have made you aware of what's going on. I hope you can appreciate the tactical sacrifice I made re Deep Pressure Hulls.

Yep. And Spectres can see probe teams too.

Indeed.
