[SPOILERS] Lewger goes for the Bigwyn

Yeah so I changed 1 tile from the crab to the FPH. This stagnates growth but we're already at the happy cap. Last turn we worked the furs which got us 22 hammers with overflow. With the forest we are now getting 19hpt. Currently henge is at 22/120. This means we need 98 hammers. 60 from chops means 38. 2 turns at 19hpt is 38h on the dot. Perfect hammers, just made it. No overflow.

This turn the workers will put 1 turn into a cottage each then cancel action. Then next turn we chop into finishing Henge if its still available.

The workers in the south can split one to the forest to chop and one to the hill to mine. We will need to get another cottage up by Illiad soon though so we may want to send the one worker to Illiad instead of the hill to mine.

Warriors can still do whatever.

I haven't made these changes yet because I had to run off to class, but I will in about 5 hours when I get home.

This would be a huge break if we could land this.

Played, Henge did not fall. jive I chopped the forests and Henge is completed EOT in our cap. I also did the other worker and scout movements (scout ended next to a barb but should be safe anyway.) I've left the warrior and chariot movements for later.

Bigger you want to grab pics?

wow that was quick.

technically, we can still lose it, 50/50 if someone else is also completing this turn. that would suck. but I think our odds are pretty good.

i can grab pics in about 20 mins, sure.

it seems Odysseus encountered a nasty cyclops:

more experience, I guess. he's woodland two, on a hill forest, I can't imagine he dies. Lewwyn, I think he should heal in place after the battle. Its annoying, but since he can't return home thanks to the barb city we might as well make sure he survives to explore all the eastern region.

more important news:

dancing lets hope no one else is building it this turn as well, that would be unlucky. a nice side effect is that the capital will expand borders again quickly, picking up the fish - which means we can have the fish netted and ready to go turn 1 when we found the northern island city. that will be city #5, but we need it quickly - not only for the IC routes, but for the silver happy. we need sailing first though :/.

azza left his scouting hill. I'm really hoping we found judaism in the Odyssey, so our culture will quickly engulf that hill.

you can also see that azza didn't found the stone site, so he is apparently expanding south. this is good.
Lewwyn - move Achilleus (the warrior) SE, SE and try to explore south as far as we can get? since our scout can't make it down there it would be useful to have someone do it. unless you want to send a chariot down there?

demos:

our place isn't really important here, our gnp and food are handicapped by our weird tile configuration in the capital to ensure stonehenge (and likewise our MFG abnormally buffed).
Serdoa is slightly ahead of us in GNP(buffed a bit by oracle culture?) and azza behind us, despite this.

serdoa lost a top 5 city spot, despite having the oracle.

something to watch:

we are still ahead of azza, but he's spiking up. just need to keep an eye on that graph, and build another chariot or two before too long. maybe in the odyssey after the granary.
on that note, I don't think azza is putting ep's into us (not sure about serdoa). we are 5 turns from getting research visibility on him, which will be very useful.

Woo! Please no coinflip!

I think the religion founds in the largest non-capital city with the fewest religions already present, so judicious use of the whip could ensure it founds in the Odyssey... I'm not sure what the tie breaker is if they are both size 2 though?
Reply

It's an odds system iirc, so 2 equal size non-capitol no-religion cities would each have a 50% chance of founding.

yeah, its odds. and I don't care that much, on this map we should get plenty of free spreads anyway.

That big Azza power spike was Iron working. Azza has IW and he's heading for a praets rush I think. Who knows if its us or Serdoa. shakehead Maybe we should tech IW and grab Iron so we can build axes. In any case I think we have to make ourselves less appealing to Azza as a target... Also Azza is currently chopping the jungle off the rice next to the gold. High possibility that his next city will settle the rice+gold. DO we enrage him by charioting the settler?

We got Stonehenge. YAY
