Once again the towns are redecorated and the Costume Brawl is open. A couple collectors have shown up; the rest are taking their time.

Really, the only reason I made the topic right now was to remind Hawk that it's time to change the cape.

Ignimonious defeat at the hands of three PD in Costume Brawl, on the new asuran lands map. PD is Team Paradigm, #20 on the guild ladder, and they just missed single elimination in this monthly at 17th place. There aren't a whole ton of people entering from the international district (surprising to me actually), so syncing isn't very difficult - a bunch of ABers were doing it for company. (Karma I guess?)

The story untold by this screenshot is that this was after 16 or so consecutive victories! We were creaming teams left and right, with a small number of close battles. We faced up against Lev and Viper's team, who were on 10 consecutives themselves, and flawlessed them. It took a team (PD) who were top 50 solid (and probably on voip) to bring us down.

We didn't leave empty handed either: aside from 80 some trick or treat bags, the gamer points are very generous now. You get 10 points per win, plus an additional point per consecutive win. At 2 wins you get 11, at 3 wins you get 12, etc. And the cap is something high like 30. I went from ~600 gamer or so to 1000 and hit rank 1, just from an evening of play. I also filled my balthazar faction total up twice. A very rewarding time, within a very enjoyable format. (Hint: try it out!)

only one problem...even though the event is on, there's not always enough of us on to either making syncing useful or have enough be interested to try it out.

"Enough" would be two honestly, which is all we have here (me+rad). There's little to be gained by coordinating builds since they are pre-set and mostly solo-oriented. If we were really pro, there'd be an advantage in zerging, but the average ID player you get isn't all that bad. The team size is also 5, and it's hard to reliably get more than 3 people on the same team (you often end up with 3-2 split or something.)

But yeah, I get your larger point, we have a (stalled) thread on the topic.

Two pieces of news...

1.) Halloween coincides with the anniversary of Nightfall's release. Those of us who made characters right at the starting gun now have birthday mini's so check your characters.

I had another jackpot moment today...

2.) Linsey emerged from her team meeting with news that I think most of us will like. The, "That's what we want to do," answers to the question of making the Wisdom and Treasure Hunter titles is now officially a, "Yes. Treasure Hunter and Wisdom will become account wide in the next balance update."
