I agree with this. I think Mattimeo said he was going to be away for the last half of the day, so I'll give him a pass for that. Merovech however just blatantly admitted to lurking and being able to get away with it -- I don't think he would have; Qgqqqqq had called him out on it and I had it written in my post until I caught up to his post where he did start contributing. Bigger has been quieter than usual; last time he was quiet on day 1 he was scum.

7 mins later (maybe realising that his vote made it 5:5 between me and Selrahc)

No. The "I meant uberfish" was referring to my post directly above that, where I state why crossposted information makes me suspect uberfish more than Selrhac.

My intention all along has been to switch back to Selrahc if nothing forms on uberfish. At this point, I'd rather see him lynched than see you lynched, but I'd rather see uberfish lynched than either you or Selrahc.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Uh, no? He is lieing. When you see two houses near the street you are driving on and later tell someone that you visited a big city, than that is lieing. It might be your impression of reality, but it is still a lie. And if I say someone hammered a point when he did only answer questions that he was asked than that might be my impression of reality but it still is a lie. That might be because I misread stuff or because I do it on purpose.

you are myopic, Serdoa. you hunt diligantly for a scum tell on day 1, and when you find a tiny clue you latch onto it, so everything that person says you interpret in a way that makes him seem scummy to you. I know first hand how frustrating it is to be on the blunt end of your attack - from ww12 where you spearheaded my mislynch on day two because I spelled your name wrong!

Yes you had an impressive run last game. But if you remove yourself and the three masons that were easily able to verify their innocence, that leaves 7 out of 12 players in the game as scum! so it really doesnt mean much, you miss just as often as you hit.

In this case, Selrahc is giving his impression of Rowain. Thats what WW is about - intuition, not science. You keep throwing around the "lie" word, but I'm not sure you know what it means. An impression is, BY DEFINITION, not a lie. Its an impression that I am finding more and more plausible as th day passes, tbh.

However, I still find Tasunke to be the most likely scum. serdoa or any of the Rowain voters consider switching? or any of the singleton voters?

oh, and as the game goes on novice seems more and more likely to be inncent to me, so I'll mayor vote him.

Yeah the problem is the discusssion just seems to swing back to novice/tarot card.
The Bigger lurking I'm not sure on - he said it was going to be his D1 tactic at the time.

Well if Tasunke does not get lyched I'll probably vote Selrahc over Rowain. Rowain seems to be acting like his normal self while Selrahc has not done anything useful. Of the top 3 mayor's I'll go with Serdoa as I think he is probably a villager; for attacking Ryan and Tasunke like me--while I cannot get a clear read of novice and Rowain.

I'll go read what I missed to see if I missed anything useful/important.

This is how I play day 1 now, regardless of alignment :P. Every day 1, unless I start getting lynched for it, then I'll just refuse to make any post on day 1, including votes. so neener.
