Of course I had to set a goal for sandboxing purposes here!

I've been pushing pretty hard for us to discuss how to use the T92 settler out of MM, with very little reaction.

What I'd really like, is for more people to chime in on the game, in more threads than the "rant" one. Doesn't matter if it's about dotmaps or sandbox discussions or military movements or something else, but this is supposed to be a Democracy game.

I stumbled upon this gem today. I think we should do it.

We can triple whip the aqueduct circa T100, but it might be best to delay that until we have 38-39 hammers invested into it, for max overflow into the HG. That and the three chops should give us 244H into the HG. We could thus realistically could make the HG in the T105-T110 timeframe, by my quick estimate.

But then, I think I've shown that it is feasible to get a city down there (I used the 1S of oasis spot since I judged it as the more challenging to support). And a city on the southwest sea bring the benefit of making it much easier to get trade routes with CFC soon.

But a T94 southwest city will work economically and militarily - we're dropping to +80/-89 in gold, ie a hair under 50%.

Anyway, I wanted to get a full documented play-through in of the entire micro plan, with a more sensible development around FF and with a simulation of the extra trade route income.

My T94 save has 11 cities, we can easily add another one by T105. But go for 11 cities. HG would then add 11 pop, which whipped would equal 330H. HG would cost us 250H (100H for the aqueduct, and 150 stone-doubled hammers for the HG), so a net gain of 80H.

It'd also give us a start for a pure pool of GE GPP, which is always nice to have.

Agreed. If we can land it definitely worth it.

kjn, (and others), do we have a backup axe for capturing Alemanni? From your spreadsheet, there is an axe finished in Tree Huggers by T88 that can be at Alemanni around T94.
What about having Mansa's Muse build/whip and axe after the current library and substitute AO's barracks for a worker.

Relying on just one axe to capture Alemanni in a timely manner seems to risky to me. I know the odds are in our favour, but they were in our favour for the first warrior as well.

The TH axe is used to secure Pink dot (my sim) and BbB (Novice's sim). We can send it east towards FF instead if we secure BbB with Wyn (like I did), and then we can use the axe in FF to back up Dantski (the axe outside Alemanni).

So yes, easily doable if we forego going for Red/Pink dot. We can probably still go for Blue dot (the northeast city), if we want to, since we will have three axes in the area.
