Good content,yes.
Don't think the Bigger vote matters thpugh.

Although Uberfish and Selrahc would both find it easy to argue convincingly and honestly for my point of view, and thus associate themselves with a villager (me) on a mislynch wagon.

Bigger fits the first profile, and I think we have more like him. I don't know who though. I could throw out a vote but it would be fairly random at this point. I guess I'll vote Lewwyn just so I can lynch him in good conscience later when he's sleeping.

You have Matt , you have water who barley wrote anything. Can you explain why you ignored those obvious two and went for lewwyn ,

Why are they obvious?
Yes Bigger lurked a lost, but there's nothing to say a scum would. Generally scum just try to play as they normally would - last game I was the most active player (by % of votes at time of my lynch) and scum.
Lynching lurkers is good policy, IMO, but often bad play.
I also find Lewwyn slightly fishy.

I was AFK sorry.

(January 6th, 2013, 18:09)Mattimeo Wrote: I was thinking that the night developments didn't necessarily clear novice, since getting the scum with the card to pass it to whoever novice said he was passing to seemed the best thing for a scum-novice to do. Then I recalled seeing something from BRick along the lines of scum being unable to pass items to people they were attempting to kill. Don't have a source for that - no time to go looking at the moment - and it might have only been applicable to the lockpick, but if someone finds it, it'd pretty much confirm novice as town (if we assume Serdoa is being truthful about possessing a vest that got shot).

(January 6th, 2013, 17:47)zakalwe Wrote: Mattimeo hasn't done much so far, and he supported Bigger as mayor back here:
Gee, thanks for using arguments it's actually possible to defend against, there...

Good point there.
I also don't find the mayor vote scummy - he was hardly pushing for it, and mayors are generally under a lot of scrutiny.
[CONSPIRACY THEORY: a fool card Bigger plus Novice (/maybe serdoa?) as scum???]
Fake edit: Doh he didn't have the card. Disregard.

(January 6th, 2013, 18:17)novice Wrote: ...

Yeah that's true, I was going to bring that up if my pass target was killed. I failed to realize it would apply to failed kills as well. duh
That's protown of you to bring up. So Serdoa is almost-confirmed, and if he's town then I'm confirmed.

Scum foregoing a night kill is possible, but unlikely. But it could be a gambit to get all the town power roles to pass their items to him. I think scum are unlikely to start with the vest though - lynchproof scum is quite powerful.

If serdoa is scum then obviously they don't have the gun...
Fake edit: ah you mean because a villager would claim. Good point - but I think he randomized where the roles landed.

(January 6th, 2013, 18:25)uberfish Wrote: Good job Serdoa. I think bigger's scum flip implicates tasunke as his partner:

...

(This is posted about 7 hours before deadline and he proceeds to lurk out the day)

note that:

- Bigger was active lurking waiting to see which way things would swing in the middle of the day. This points towards a scum as one of the 3 leading wagons at that point. (rowain 5 - tasunke 4 - novice 3)

- Although bigger started off attacking Tasunke, when he was active lurking in the middle of the day he said nothing at all about Tasunke. This makes more sense if he's scum trying to avoid actively drawing more heat onto his partner.

- If tasunke and rowain were both village, Bigger could just have made some further comments attacking Tasunke, parked his vote on Tasunke, and avoided any blame for Rowain's mislynch.

- Concerning tasunke's early vote on bigger: he votes bigger for lurking in exactly one post, and does not mention him at all subsequently despite the fact that he is still lurking (calling out Azza and Waterbat for lurking during night phase instead.) This vote actually makes it MORE likely that he is scum with bigger, and not less.

Also this post is suspicious as hell.

Anyways, totally unrelated, can we agree on either azza or water at to get shot tonight?

Again good points.
I think I'll stick with Tasunke unless I hear a powerful claim.

(January 6th, 2013, 18:35)uberfish Wrote: To expand further on that: Tasunke's soft claiming that he's either the vig or the bulletproof. Bulletproof is accounted for and he's clearly not the vig because he didn't shoot either of the people he wanted to be killed. This means that he's probably just lying.

Or seer... thats what I was betting on.

Tasunke needs to explain himself. He's alluded to having an item, but the ones he was strongly suggesting (gun and vest) are, at best, extremely unlikely in the case of the gun, and as good as impossible in the case of the vest, to have been in his possession.

I really didn't get a vest/gun vibe from him - I'm not sure what your all talking about.

I don't like giving Sarlharc and waterbat free pases when they aren't responding . I can see the point with Tasunke but I am not convinced enough to change my vote especially when the two of them aren't responding.

@Q I already wrote and copied why I Think waterbat deserves a lynch several times now. I responded to that vote of yours when you voted me within 2 pages after you voted me. I am not going to go back and copy because this is getting ridiculous I am not gonna spend my entire time recoppying stuff I wrote just for you to read when you should have read it . I didn't spend my time writing this stuff for it to not be read or ignored and then people responding as if I didn't write anything. You probably didn't go back to see if I responded. This is the last post I'm writing.

That was before the announcement and he said IF , and no you didn't answer me since I wrote a lot more then that and you changed your Vigi shot opinion a 3rd time after my post to its risky . I don't believe you and btw you and the other Afk with water in his name . You have my voteSelrahc

I also don't see your waterbat reasoning, but I'm not going to make you traawl back through it - maybe you could summarize for me? smile

I think a lot of things revolve around uberfish's identity...
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Damn it. I was going to go after Bigger today.

I believe that Tasunke is innocent. The voting at the end of the last day suggests to me that scum didn't care which of the two got lynched. I think someone who switched away from Rowain when it didn't make a difference is pretty scummy. So who's the last person to vote for Tasunke?

Zak and when asked about it:

Why this switch, Zak?

Eh, I figured if Tasunke got lynched by a quick late run that might be a good thing after all.

What's the final tally?

Really Zak? REALLY??

I also think Uberfish should be in the conversation for his first vote on Tas today.
