WW 19 Game Thread - Mobster Mayhem - GAME OVER

Yes, after day is resolved.

Actually, Azza having stolen the gun from tasunke doesn't even make sense if the lockpick worked as MJW thought it did - because stealing takes place before kills and therefore if Azza had stolen the gun from Tasunke, then Tasunke wouldn't have been able to shoot anyone.

Still: MJW why did you later refer to azza as a mislynch with this weird qualification that if he's scum then you would be also linked to him as scum?

This rule will be added to the rules on the front page.

Brick, that new rule actually makes less sense than the old one... Shouldn't the attempt to pass the item really just fail instead of handing it out randomly? Can we please not change the rules in the middle of the game to add an unnecessary random element?

I'm staying on Merovech.

I do not have a strong read on Tasunke or Ryan either way. I think Tasunke's "slip" was just a joke and the rest of his play seems fine to me. Ryan feels a little more scummy, because if he supposedly has WW experience, he'd be less affected by other's "attacks" on him. However, perhaps I am misunderstanding his posts about his playing experience, or perhaps it was played differently in his experiences, with less arguing.

I think novice is a likely villager. I don't find Rowain's arguement that he could be scum impossible, but I do think the simpler explanation, that novice just miller-claimed as a villager, is more likely.

That being said, I think Rowain's arguement is a lot more understandable than some other players here (Selrahc, uberfish, others?) seem to think. Definitely not enough for me to think that Rowain is scum.

I am unsure what to think about the Serdoa-Selrahc fight. My inclination is to side with Serdoa here, as I think his argument has more merit than Selrahc's argument against Rowain.

I'm not a particular fan of how Q has played, nor Azza, for that matter, but not enough to give them even a slight scum lean.

I seem to have great trouble reading Zak, so I will abstain on him for now.

Lewwyn and Bigger both seem slightly villagers to me (gut instinct-not to be trusted past day 1).

Since I have to vote, Bigger for Mayor and Selrahc for lynch.

Just look at all that hedging. Plus a few more confident reads on a few villagers.

And this post is bad, as Zakalwe pointed out. And Merovech hasn't commented on it.

(posted just after Tasunke claimed vig but before Azza called it a lie)
(January 7th, 2013, 00:33)Merovech Wrote: Hmm. Obviously, this makes Waterbat look bad, although I'm keeping my vote on uberfish. I also don't want to forget about Selrahc. I mostly voted for him because I really didn't want to see Rowain hang, but he didn't exactly give me an innocent vibe, and he seems to have slipped off the radar.

Why does this obviously make Waterbat look bad? I don't see it.

Here's Zakalwe's theory:

(January 8th, 2013, 03:18)zakalwe Wrote: While I suspect Waterbat, I couldn't see at the time see how Waterbat would be implicated by a successful vig kill on Bigger. Tasunke was hinting heavily that he had the gun and would shoot either Azza or Waterbat. So if that kill went through, why would that implicate Waterbat? Of course, maybe Tasunke was in fact jailed, since he wasn't actually the vig, but for anyone believing his claim, that was not a possibility. So I couldn't understand why people were jumping on Waterbat over this. Allegedly it was all due to Waterbat being on Tasunke right before his reveal. That seems more like a convenient excuse. So if Waterbat is innocent, I'll be a little suspicious of Lewwyn for kicking this off, but even more suspicious of Mattimeo for parroting it. And if Waterbat is guilty, then I think Merovech's last post there looks very fishy. That looks like scum instinctively agreeing that his scumbuddy is suspicious, without really weighing the evidence at all.

One second. 3 votes on azza with 2 people? Double vote?

Well, I do that myself sometimes. I make a case against someone, he come up with answers which are ok but I don't really like them. If that happens, I often will read his posts in even more detail and find stuff to go against. That doesn't mean I haven't read his answers on my first case, only that I still consider him scum.

And hey, questioning and suspecting others is part of the game. You shouldn't get mad at someone for doing that. And tbh, if I were you, I would consider that it is very unlikely that someone is trying to get you lynched. Wolfs do that sometimes (I did that to Mattimeo for example) but there has to be some overarching reason for that and hope for success. I mean, you don't do that as wolf just out of fun because your name will always be related to the lynch of a villager. The only reason I could see right now would be to get votes off of MJW. Which worked. Think about that.

Double votes aren't supposed to show up until the final tally. More likely a typo.

Btw, what's the case on Zakalwe exactly? (Honest question, I'm not averse to fratricide).

Huh. "Fake Wooden Arm (Doublevote) - Allows the owner of the Arm to have two votes during the lynch. He will get his normal public vote as usual but in addition he will be able to PM the Moderator a secret vote. The Moderator will announce who received the secret vote but not who cast it."

I guess this means it will show up on tallies, then. I wonder if the double-voter knew that.

novice, I would like to get the votes higher, right now wolfs have awfully much influence on the vote. Any chance you can be persuaded by my case on MJW? If not, I will join you on Merovech, but I'd like you to really consider it first please.
