Been awhile, no?

Here's an overview of the lands, as of last turn. You can see that I replanted Kosar, now styled Pindicator XIII Bernie Bernie. It didn't take me too long to refound there but I a) lost the granary and the growth to size 3 as well as the turns to pop the borders and b) that settler was supposed to go down the spoke (sign in the SW).

I have 2 settlers that I whipped last turn (T79). One will plant on the spoke, and the other is going off the mainland here

First off, you can notice that Pindicator is taking a (larger) offshore island. I assume he will settle in place next turn.

I can't decide where to put my city.

Green is a plains hill plant (hill good for border city also)
Red is on the sheep for a 3 food plant. Obviously I lose the 5/0/2 sheep if I settle on it, but the red square is an ocean fish tile that will be orphaned otherwise.

The galley to the NE is circling around to settle there with a skirmisher in I believe 3 turns.

Also you can see that I teched Currency this turn, as well as finished a library in the capital.

If you're building Moai on the undecided city, then on the sheep: 5/0/2 sheep vs 5/0/2 fish is a wash, and 3f plant against ph plant is close... But you get one extra mine to build Moai on. If not...you save a WB by not building on the sheep. But I lean toward on the sheep anyway.

Are you aware that you could plant 1E of the sheep and get the fish too?

True. Separate continents means no 3-tile rule.

Have a bunch of saved up gold. Really couldn't decide where to tech next.

Aesthetics (for SPaya)?
Metal Casting (for Mints)?
Code of Laws (on the way to Bureaucracy)?
Calendar?
Iron Working?

In the end I decided.....
None of the above lol I'm teching Poly / Masonry / Mono, so I can adopt OR). I was going to skip those since I am planning on building Paya, but i don't really have any hammer sites really available to build that any time soon, and OR is huge for me, especially given that I'm SPI)

Still looking to figure out what to tech next...

Woah nellie here's an update!

The dearth of updates have been probably due to my feeling all Gaspar about my chances after the razing of my city lol (I know, I know, cheap shot)

Anyways I'm in the pack still, but my traits (EXP/SPI) are going to be hard to compete with 2 FIN civs long-term (including Lizzie). I can always hope to wow everyone with my amazing leet skeelz....

So I'm continuing to expand. Here's one spot

Who's got some ideas on how to dotmap this place? I'm kind of thinking S-SW of the furs. That gets the fur and the crab, but only after a border pop frown. Obviously the corn is the best resource on the island, but I kind of want to settle the western half with this settler (on the SW galley), to avoid Pindicator settling on it.

Down south we have another city ready and rarin to go

I had landed on the GFH W-SW of the wines last turn with a settler / skirmisher pair. I was hoping that a skirmisher move SE would reveal a sheep resource on that plains tile (based on the similarly resourced island that you can see to the east). But alas, nothin. So I decided not to settle, and instead move my settler SE as well, hoping for another food tile in the fog. I probably will settle a 2nd city on this island NE of the wines, but again, I'm trying to stake out land here (you can see Scooter's orange borders in the fog to the southwest)

I finished Monarchy this turn and will revolt to OR and HR next turn and get some more missionaries out. Then I will save gold while trying to figure out my next tech path...

I like S-SW of the furs; it's a good position (can't be galleyed from the west), and sets the island up for 3 cities (SE of the corn, and NE of the fish, IMO: no reason not to settle on the PH and save the forest for the Corn site).

It's too soon to dot map the stone site IMO.

Well it better not be too soon to dot map the stone site, since I have a settler there underneath the skirmisher lol
