Gillette offered OB with us, saw no reason to decline. Maracaibo was founded and stole San Juan's Corn as planned, though San Juan is now starving. Santiago was whipped, and San Juan stole its Wines cottage. I sent C down to Santiago to start cottaging, and F to cottage another blank grasslands tile. We don't have the cash for Mathematics, so I saved cash for this turn.

The wines are not cottaged (although they are still a nice tile). In the plan I have the chop at Maracaibo coming the trim before we grow so that we can whip immediately. I guess it's not a big deal if we delay one extra turn cottaging to (3/4) so that we can get Maths before the chop. We'll still get the granary full and the extra turn til border pop doesn't make a difference.
You whipped a worker at Santiago?

Maybe it was a plains riverside cottage... all I remember was it was 3 coins. Yes, Santiago Worker was whipped, named it H. Port Royal we're building Quechuas while slow-building onto Cottages, right?

We should have move the axe from the corn up last turn and this turn so that it could join up with out two axe's on the forest hill. This turn we should move the corn axe 1NE, fortify one of the forest-hill axe's in place, and move the other axe N. Where there is no temptation there is no opportunistic attack
E finishes the camp this turn so we'll get San Juan back out of starvation. Sheep online in 4T, copper the turn after. We've got a halfway decent hammer city here.
Barbados wasn't using the mine so I assigned the new citizen at Havana to the mine rather than the forest. Teams soldier count is increasing, but to to the point yet where we should be alarmed. I'm fairly certain they don't have cats yet, and until then we should be able to hold off any attack. I'm keeping EP's on TEAM enough to keep their research visibility (put this turn and next on TEAM and then switch back to M3 for a few turns).

Turn played. I decided to turn on research this turn to see if we could get Maths by the time we need to chop at Maracaibo. After ending the turn with normal configuration I swapped citizens around to max commerce which will allow us to get Maths end of next turn (just one turn with the citizens at this configuration).
The Positive is +12 hammers (with 12% bonus) into Maracaibo, negatives are no working the copper mine and no working the flood plain (1-turn slower growth at Barbados). If you don't like this it's easy to put back.
1) scientist goes back to the flood plain at Barbados
2) give spice cottage to PR, and hit the citizen automation button at PR
3) steal cottage back to Santiago instead of the wines (Havana then works the grass mine)

We should whip the Terrace T106, the turn after Maracaibo grows, instead of T105.
T106 whip:
T105 2/24 food +8, chop comes in
T106 10/24 food ->WHIP Size 1, 10/22 food +6
T107 16/22 food +6
T108 12/24 food
T109 20/24 food
T105 whip:
T105 2/24 food WHIP 2/22 food, +6
...
T109 16/24 +8
Since we don't need the chop until T105, I think we should delay Mathematics one turn and put the citizens back to their original configuration.

AH, your right! I was thinking that we needed to get it right away in order to fill up the granary. Yeah, it's better if we wait.

Reconfigured the tiles back. By the way, should we 2 pop whip the Library in Santiago? Probably not, we need those cottages worked.

Let's wait on the whip. We'll only have 1 more turn of research to get Maths, and then we'll have maybe 3-4 turns of gold saving. In that time we'll be able to grow another pop or two which we can then whip off.

Turn played. TEAM has their Settler ready. They're researching Civil Service. Uh oh! Last turn Confucianism was founded, I think it was TEAM.
We can whip the Library in Havana this next turn, at the cost of stacking 10 more turns when we're at 8 turns on the whip clock. I say we do it, then start building Quechuas. Next tech should probably be Currency. Also, we should probably start building more Axes, since TEAM just shot from 4th to 2nd in Power.
