Seriously, his attacks went like this:
Chariot vs wounded Impi (covering worker) - 33% - win - we lose worker
Archer suicide into axe - 1% loss, wounds axe a little
Axe into our axe - 25% win (we lose 6 straight rounds)
Axe into our wounded axe - 45.8% win
(he then stopped)
This is getting old.

Shocking!
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I seriously am considering resignation. Its not fun when you lose so much at so crappy odds. If this was a duel i probably would have already
Seriously- we just lost 2 axes and an impi all with odds to win. And no victories aside from a 1% archer battle.
Edit: Deep breath
How wounded are the axes? We may not be in a bad spot yet and our GG may be able to clean up.

The odds of him getting those 3 wins was in the neighborhood of 3-4%.
It was like we said in the chat last night - if our gold defense play was going to fail, it was going to fail only because of him getting extremely lucky. I don't mind losing a battle to being outmaneuvered tactically, but that hasn't happened here.

Also - he left the chariot on that tile where he captured the worker (he did delete the worker). This is going to be the part where Pindicator says "I told you so" after I argued we were OK to keep the Impi in LJS (leaving LJS would have caused unhappy). At this point it would be nice to have a spare Impi to get some easy XP.

Why did he make this attack? Why not go spear on spear since he's already fallating the rng? Or hell, why did he pass up archer & axe vs axe earlier-- it was similar odds. It was a stupid strategic move and he's rewarded with dumb fucking luck.
We have the north impi that can finish off the chariot. GG axe can take down one of his wounded from the gold mine and the new axe can cover on the gold mine.
Feels like this game is rigged

We got some mild luck on the attack a couple turns ago for the first time all game, but nothing quite like this. Oh well.

This is what irks me. I think he played the turn pretty poorly/oddly, and he still got rewarded for it. In addition to all your questions:
1) Why do the chariot/worker thing first? Surely you want to hold off and see if the gold assault goes sour right? I don't think the chariot idea in a vacuum was a bad idea (we thought it was fairly likely he would try - we chose that Impi specifically to entice him), but still. Also, he didn't even have vision on that tile so he was just throwing that chariot out into the fog before attacking the gold and hoping something was there. That seems like terrible tactical planning. Assault the gold first, then see if you can afford an excursion with the chariot.
2) Why didn't he see through a pretty transparent trap? We only put 3 units on it. We had 2 more that he's seen that were unaccounted for AND an unaccounted for GG. He knows all this, knowing we could have put more units here but chose not to. If he doesn't win that 25% axe-on-axe battle to swing things, this exchange still doesn't end very well for him. He should have known we were setting a trap, yet he walked right into it and came out ahead for it.
This game, man.

Yeah, our recent "good luck" was going a turn where the lowest odds battle was winning a 50/50 and then miraculously not losing 3 battles where we had odds on each.

Guys.... GUYS. I figured it out. Ok. So, you know how we've theorized this luck thing is a scooter vs Commodore thing? My luck in the duel was pretty bad at best. I was the guy logged in when we had 3 upper 50s attacks in 2 turns and lost all of them. I had some other bad luck here. Then Pindicator makes the attacks last turn and we get mildly favorable results.
I dismissed it this time. Last night when we played the turn, Pindicator jumped in and we talked through it on chat - but the point is he was the turn player for the turn while I mentally shadowed it with our master screenshot. So I didn't think anything of it this morning when I logged in, because he was our turn player, so there goes the magic hex conspiracy stuff.
HOWEVA... After handling all the military stuff:
Chat Wrote:pindicator: ok
i'm gonna jump out and let you do tile assignments
scooter: ok
I was the last one logged in! That meant it was my "name" Commodore was attacking against.
Surely magic is against the rules right?
