Just frustrated with the game right now. I seem to have achieved stalemate, but I don't see any way to break the stalemate aside from throwing bodies at the machine guns. Was hoping that I had overlooked an option short of 'tech some more'. If I can find that 'attack at range' option you mention, that may be the answer.

Of course Iskender may find something to break the stalemate first. Then you'd get the option for Concordat without my cooperation, at least briefly.

The ranged attack specials are called Range I and Range II, though I suspect what you really want is the Zero Point Module.

The Consciousness wants dearly to stay out of this war, but after much consideration (and a good night's rest), views that goal as impossible. I was hoping for more time before the game-ending moves started, to try and claw something back from my big mistake in the early/mid game, but such is the life.

I will aid Mardoc in his attempts to resist Iskender's pillage-party / invasion.

Sareln, may I suggest canceling your open borders treaty with Iskender? You have no trade routes with him, so it wouldn't hurt you. He, on the other hand, does have lots of trade routes with you, so it would give him an economic hit, and reduce him to domestic 1-energy routes.
