[SPOILERS] TT tries yet again to not be terrible

We had the hut luck early doors but since then I've only found one and it gave our scout experience. It now is woody 2.

Barbs are on as our scout nearly died to a lion a turn or so ago.

I agree that happy is low and I agree that the pyramids would be nice. My hesitancy is because, as you have discovere, there is a lack of hammers at the stone city, even with all the forests.

In terms of the stone city, this is the only improvement in placement I can think of that would net some more production in an extra forest and a grass hill to mine. However it requires a quick border pop to get to the useful tiles which isn't amazing really.

We shall have to wait on copper anyway as that could mess this up again, but I think the second suggestion may be better for us to actually be able to build the pyramids in OK time.

Sorry on the reporting front, been a bit of a busy time for me and I keep taking the screenshots but then forgetting to upload anything. Shall maybe have to hold off on playing turns until after my lectures rather than before!

well we'll find a good spot to chop it out. I have some ideas, but copper location will be a big help.

wtf, how is that possible? doesnt look like there is a N-S wrap so E-W must be very, very narrow.

We finally have contact - to 2metraninja who is pretty damn far away to our west. If he's our closest neighbour then this is going to be one heck of a builders game...

I've had a thought. What do you think of 2 quite quick cities, one to cover the stone and one in this spot marked here.

I think the other city might be much better to actually build the pyramids as it can have the corn and borrow the pigs and the two already built mines. It also has access to at least 2 more grass mines and a significant amount of forests that can help.

What do you reckon? Is it feasible?

I was actually thinking that too, but decided to wait until we saw where copper was. If you grow to size 5 first, should be able to pop out 2 settlers and another 2-3 workers fairly quickly. I see BW comes in next turn, we can decide then.

In any case, you'll need to road one of the mines so the settler can get to that spot in one turn, settle in 2.

ok, cool. not sure whether to settle that city first or stone city, we'll need both. I guess the eastern one to get the corn farmed and working some mines, maybe build a granary? do we have a warrior in the capital? You can send it to that tile to cover the worker, who could chop the forest where we're planting the city into the settler.

will need several more workers, too. for chopping and too connect the stone.

what are your tech plans? I think mysticism-meditation-masonry would be good, might as well grab a religion. might want to go ahead annd build stonehenge IF its still out there when pyramids are done, since we'll have stone by then.

anyway lets see where copper is when the turn rolls and then we can make a final decision.
