[SPOILERS] TT tries yet again to not be terrible

Myst -> Med/Poly -> Masonry is probably a solid plan as a religion would be useful given that we can swap to it straight away.

I think Poly might be better so that if we needed too, we could move for Mono after Masonry if we still needed a religion.

I think that in that case, we want the religion to fall in the stone city to pop the borders asap. The other site has tiles it can work straight away and get going much faster

oh I meant poly anyway, I got poly and mediation mixed up smile. Was thinking the same thing with the border pops, just not sure if we need the border popped quickly for the pyramids - we're going to hook up the stone, and then all worker actions will be put into working the other city until pyramids falls. but it would be nice to not have to build monument in either city, thats true as well.

Here's the overview of all the land I have discovered that right now could be ours. Dotmap coming soon

Before I head out to lectures, here's my first go at a dotmap for that:

I definitely think Red has to be the spot to build the pyramids. With this dotmap, we probably want to settle red first and then the religion will hopefully pop into there to expand borders to get the copper. As the stone will be in the inner ring of pink, we won't need the culture there as fast.

ok a lose plan:

capital builds warrior, warrior, settler, worker, warrior, settler, worker. (probably stonehenge afteerwards if its still around).

warriorr completes in 2 turns, same turn you finish the road your working on. warrior moves to the city spot and fortifies, worker goes there and chops the forest ( both to settle faster and to not waste the wood hammers).

we should be 1-2 turns from hinduism when we settle, that will work out nicely. the 2nd warrior should complete same turn we grow to size 5 to act as MP for the capital.

2nd warrior goes to hook up stone firrst, then that city can be ignored until pyramids are finished - he jumps over to chop, along with third worker when he completes.

not sure we can nab stonehenge, but I think we should have no problem with the pyramids smile.

also, the only thing I'm unsure about your dotmap is the blue dot NW of the capital. we orphan the clams, and have a crab for a city that can't build a lighthouse. why not 2 cities instead (eventually, settle south will be a priority) - 1N of the copper, 1 2s of the copper. the northern one could be a nice great person farm, with crabs, clams - build a granary, lighthouse, library & market and we can support 2 rep scientists and 2 rep merchants (the southern city would work the copper from production, probably).

I'm not fond of the white city either, but can't think of a better solution atm.

With the blue dot, I'm not sure your second plan is better.

I think 2S of the copper has too many mediocre tiles and only one food source which is a pretty iffy plains sheep.

Blue dot can be a pretty damn strong city, with two crabs it can use to supplement the sheep for fast growth to the size needed to work all the grassland tiles we could cottage.

If we wanted to use the clams, we could still shove a city up 2N of the copper which would be able to use both seafood when needed and also some tundra hills.

I think that is a better 2 city solution really. I think your has two alright cities while mine has one pretty strong city and a half decent second one.

plains sheep is 4-1-1, which is ok. we can farm the two riverside tiles (the silk will be 3-0-2, I think, and we can leave it a farm even when we have calender since we can plantation the other silk source). we can cottage the non-river grassland tiles, if we wish, or just work a specialist.

the city 2N of the copper would work as well, I guess. maybe there is silver or furs up there in the fog that would make it even better. anyway I think we should expand south first so it might be awhile before we settle either city.

Yeah, those cities can keep back for much later, doubt there will be loads of competition for it.

Silk won't be a food tile I think - only sugar and spices are I think. Silk is like dyes & incense IMO.
