Not much so far, building Fyrdwells, attempting to amass enough of them before turn 113, the expiration turn of Sheaim-Svartalfar NAP.
I thought whether to switch to Military State, or not. In the end, I decided not to, since I really needed Guardian of Nature for happiness, and Guardian of Nature + MilSci results in no XP for Fyrdwells, meaning that they are unable to be Mov4 from the gate.
Quote:Basically, it's a current situation report on my part.
Right now, I am building Fyrdwells non-stop, a la Amelia as Lanun in that previous FFH PBEM (II, I think). Unfortunately, I don't have Raging Seas, but, well, even Aggressive Svartalfar are not quite as powerful as non-EitB Calabim.
No military actions are now transpiring between Svartalfar and me. HK has a Griffon on a peak spying on me, that Griffon is very annoying.
By turn 131, I'll likely have circa 40 Fyrdwells, if my finances allow. My economy, however, is improving, if anything, since I've only recently switched to GoN, and my new cities are growing. I don't have Priests of Leaves or Priesthood (summoned Tigers + Aggressive Svartalfar = a lot of dead and converted Tigers), but I have a fair amount of forest tiles for my cities, partially as a result of a used Wordspell.
Teching in FFH is overrated, after all...
As a morale booster, if the almost-impossible happens and I manage to deliver a crippling blow to the Svarts, it's possible that your PZ's might have a second chance against my weakened army. Might.
Do you have any plans for attacking HK post-131?
I also have a mildly desperate plan of founding OO, teching Priesthood and causing some havoc with Spiritual-boosted Tsunamis to that Svart city 1 tile from the coast. Not sure if it's worth it, though. Probably not.
Two cities are at 4 turns per Fyrdwell, not counting the overflow. C. 16 Fyrdwells from them total. (29 turns 'till 131, 7,25 per city, plus overflow).
Three cities are at 8 turns per Fyrdwell, again not counting the overflow. All three currently built from them are partially completed. 12-13 Fyrdies is a reasonable estimate.
One city newly-founded, still builds a Stable, grows quickly. 2 Fyrdies, probably.
One city works almost only lake tiles. 1 Fyrd in these 29 turns.
8 are already built.
16+12+2+1+8 = 39.
I also have Gilden and a bunch of Fawns, survivors from the first attack on the Svarts.
Researching Animal Handling right now. Hawks will scout HK's territory, which will reduce the psychological stress from that Griffon. It'll also show me, do I need to resort to wacky measures like OO or not.
My Spi trait have been kind of wasted so far. Pity I'm not Amelanchier.
