Lewwyn, I'd say if he doesnt reinforce any, we have plenty to hold it from a counter attack and should keep it. but we do need spears in there asap. if, otoh, he gets many morew units and you can just barely capture it, then raze it. seems like such a pity though . power graph: be sure to check it again before you attack. when the turn rolls we'll get the first power graph that reflects the results of the first battle.

logged in just to grab this:
azza completed an axee in A7x, which is there with the maimed praet (1.7/7 now). we'll see if he brings more units in. we don't really have a lot to attack with - a C1 axe, a c2 HA, a couple of injured axes and a couple of injured archers. lewwyn, as much as it pains me we may have to just raze A7x and offer white peace. I'll let you make the call based on what he brings in, and what you see when to the south when you capture the city. if we can survive with the city until it comes out revolt, we'll be fine - but I'm not sure we can .

azza played his turn. Lewwyn was bummed at bad RNG results previously so I did the battle:
I didn't even have an option to raze, lol, so i guess we're keeping Beowulf. horse archer had 68% odds, axe man 50%, so pleased we got some good luck finally . 2 turns revolt, yuck. well we will see. we haven't finished the turn yet.

turn 110:
what azza does this turn will be pretty critical. we have a peace treaty offer, sure hope he accepts. Ignore the library build in the aeneid, we whipped a spear at the end of last turn, that will likely change if azza doesnt accept peace. in addition to this force, we have a shock HA 1N with 4.6/6 health, a no exp axe that can reach Beowulf A7x on our turn, and a spear that can reach the plains tile. we have 2 workers in place that will road the plains on our turn, since the borders will pop at EOT. azza probably has a praet and 2 archers (all unpromoted) on the tile W of the Iron mine. He can either kill the HA or kill an archer in the city with the praet, but I don't think he'll be able to do anything with his archers. he might also have a horse archer coming up from gilgamesh, but I don't think he can retake the city this turn. next turn city comes out of revolt and we get 20% cultural defenses, so it will be even harder. more reinforcements, if needed: they'll turn around if azza accepts peace. walls in popol complete this turn, peace treaty expires with serdoa in 2 turns. so we'll be able to whip an archer in 3, same turn popol regrows to size 2. barb axe about to harass maths: we haven't decided where to build the chariot yet, either gilgaamesh or math will switch to an axe. gilgamesh: Note that the great prophet finally pops next turn Math: Pindicator is planning some sort of naval sortie: he has a similar stack inside of the city, and *4* galleys. This confused me at first, as he has no way to attack commodore from the east, and it would be crazy foolish for him to go after CFC jester right now. but he has construction(note the catapult), and the axe on the forest is covering a worker. I believe he is building a fort and will bring the galleys through the lake and canal, loaded with plenty of troops, to surprise commodore from the north. well we wish him luck . odysseus will go just deep enough to establish contact with commodore, then turn around, be renamed to "happy meal" or something that fits scooters theme, then be gifted to them. note that scooter has alphabet AND construction. more evidence that our plan to research every single ancient tech backfired a bit . we will be able to catch up quickly once the library is finished in volsung in 3 turns (already finished in gilgamesh and the iliad). we now have maps of CFC jester territory: of note: -he has 2 happy - silver in the tundra, and wines in the center. wines are hooked up, he has monarchy already . -he has iron connected, but no other strategic resource unfortunately I don't see anyway we can make contact with him any time soon. we'll likely need open borders with serdoa to do so. demos: power graph: the war has brought both us and azza below serdoa, heh. anyway he's still a decent bit below us, despite the slaughter of dutch axes at the gates of A7x. this is the main reason I don't think he'll be able to retake it. we'll see though.

Azza played. picture dump before I go to bed:
refused, of course. I won that battle, HA can promote if he lives to see next turn, he 3.1 health, iirc yuck. so we have a C2 axe in the city, an injured CRII axee, and an injured shock HA that can promote. azza has these 2 units pluis 2 archers - an 1.3/3 shock archer and a 3/3 C1 archer. we have a spear that can reach the city NEXT turn, as well as an axe and archer that were dumped on the gold mine and can reach the city next turn. Borders city also leaves revolt and we get cultural borders before azza can play again. This is gonna be tight, folks. the fate of two empires hang in the balance.

That GG HA is out of promotions I believe. He attached the GG to the HA while it was on the stack with the praet and the archers thereby spliting the 20 XP over all 4 units. That's why his archer is Medic 2 and how he got a shock archer so he could kill our axe last turn.
