Isn't that the whole point of the SG?

So yes, we have a goal; win with musketeers, or at least play a very affirmative sort of zone defense. Swiper and Monty Burns need to, well, burn. I wish I could hit Sian efficiently, but sadly I share little border with him. He's in the typical Sian-is-losing-so-plays-glacially pout. Ah well, Boldly is more the threat.
Before Engineering, though, I bulbed Printing Press and finished the rest in 1t. There is a notable boost in commerce here...eleven just in Asterix. Good deal! Better deal: Lake Commodore, how I love you. I don't even care about Boldly revolting to the Big B and matching us in GNP now.

you don't see that everyday - researching PP and completing an ancient wonder on the same turn!
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
2 turns to Engineering, then Swiper is swiped!

True; the best way to securely achieve this goal is to kill off all potential boat-builders.

So Engineering is in, we all know what that means right?
Annoyingly, the first musketeer died against the longbow without hurting it, but the next died bringing the LB down to 1.3/6, then it was a cakewalk. A pair of musketeers for a size five border city? Eh, I'll take it...the hundred gold is nice. The real prize is Monty Burns in the south. It's a well-defender bugger, but I could take it right now if I wanted to go in deep. I'll see in a couple turns, unless he adds a lot I think I'll mace/cat/musketeer the sucker. I need the gold, kind of, but the real prize would be the wheat. In 11 turns, Fullyautomatix will either starve or worse, be forced to work a grassland farm. Who wants that, ever? Anyway, HE city being it's good ole' self. Good turn.
