Interesting turn of events...

I gambled and sacked an archer and the warrior to kill the impi. Scooter won't know we have the chariot and axe there since I just landed off and they weren't logged in to know any better. If they move towards us we can snipe the catapult (since that will be the strongest defender vs a chariot) and still retreat back to SM. I think we might have bought some time. We lost Crabs Galore (now they got crabs..eww) but that was expected. MS falls this turn so we might want to move the trireme to pillage? Up north we could attack the galleys with a trireme although probably better to wait for the second trireme before attacking (so fortify?) ...

We should probably go ahead and move to raze "IHOP" lol ...

No ground troops can reach in time and the galleys are out of position so there is no risk to us (plus the chariot can go help kill the axes threatening SM afterwards). I think risking GA getting autorazed is worth denying IHOP to Scooter although I think he would have landed troops off already if he had anything but axes (and the galleys might be empty too).

Not sure exactly what to do with the workers, probably mine the PH I suppose although maybe the jungled GH would be safer.

We still need to play the rest of the turn.

Great job!
Off to bed now.

I agree with your plan for the Chariot from GA.
Workers farming the jungled hill is safer.
Use the Triremes to attack! hammer

And attack we did...

We have 1.4 health left on the trireme so Scooter should have no problem sinking it if they decide to (although they might need to sack two galleys depending on RNG). We earned a promotion so if they decide not to attack we'll be able to promote and would then be protected by the other trireme that will be in range next turn. Ended turn.

We lost the Trireme to Scooter and we lost MS as well.

But what makes me even more mad:

Another 5 axes, chariot, impi and archer.
Why haven't they defended their homeland with this army... rant

Yeah seems kind of weird...almost like they emptied out their homeland city. I'm guessing Commodore has crossbows. If he doesn't then maybe Scooter figured it would be easier to start over somewhere else. lol What is Commodore doing over there? I'll be interested to find out how Scooter even had time to think about sailing off with such a big standing army. Makes me think we're being trolled somehow (by Commodore that is...Happy Meal says it all from Scooter's/Pin's perspective).

Still don't understand what they think they will gain though (in the long run) but then again I play plenty of Civ so starting a new game after a loss is no big deal. I just don't think I could keep interest going if I already knew I was going to lose. They'll have an interesting tale to tell at the very least though.

I'd say Commodore has an incredibly advanced army so they opted to take someone else's land rather than try and take their own cities back. I can't wait to read their threads though, it's really very strange. I don't even know where they get this army from.

Well what do you know...I was right smile ...

Scooter and Pin had to build a huge army to try and hold Commodore off, found us and migrated over (I am pretty sure they took everything since the smart gameplay would have been to salvage as many forces as possible). Commodore noticed and took their last homeland city (although he could have been healing troops before the final push...just enough time for Scooter/Pin to make a getaway). Fluke RNG results...

Had to attack (better odds than defending) so used the chariot (~44% odds) to attack the top chariot defender...not a scratch. Attacked with our ax vs their axe (50% odds) and we won without taking damage. lol Yeah, SM is toast.

Space landed off an axe north of CC (horses) so I knew he had galleys in the area which is unfortunate since I moved to hide in the fog so we can get a free shot on the two galleys Scooter has near CC (hoping they think we retreated). I gave him our map as a show of good faith (i.e. hiding in the fog, not being aggressive bro) because otherwise he could just declare war and kill off our last trireme. He might do so anyway. frown Also makes his decline of open borders logical (try to block off land with cultural boundaries).

I deleted our last two workers on the mainland since we obviously don't want to improve tiles for Scooter. Our chariot will pillage the road on the iron next turn though and if still alive keep pillaging until dealt with. Maybe should have pillaged the cottages earlier but we really didn't have enough units to do so and anyway not really worth it imo. Very worth it however to make hooking up metal take longer since now Scooter/Pin only have the iron tile available to them (and only captured one worker).

Went ahead and ended turn.

Edit: OMG...just noticed we killed his CR1 axe with a promotion available. neenerneener Sidenote: it takes me awhile to proofread my posts...probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise. crazyeye

Yeah, right! NOT! rant

We're down to 3 cities, CC will fall soon....

Hmm, that's nice of Scooter but even I would not have fallen for that. lollollol I like going to the bitter end much better (even if it is mostly boring).

I am confused though...I thought we couldn't gift cities, or is there an exception for war?
