Yeah, attack is unreasonable ... but ... possible ...
If we stumbled upon an empty capital with stonehenge pre-built for us, in a civ without copper ... We don't loose much except a diplomatic hit (but it's AI diplo, where things are forgiven easier).
We don't know Y/N whether they have copper. Only know that they do have BW. Their UU is Dog Soldier though, which is uniquely suited for countering melee units (our impi). But most people these days are accustomed to playing farmers gambits, so somebody has to keep them honest. Their UU is Dog Soldier though, which is uniquely suited for countering melee units (our impi). If nothing else, our temporary invasion will hurt his development and force a whip of a military unit he otherwise might delay. Plus our impi can play games in rough terrain and potentially fork cities and maybe capture a worker (or at least disrupt their actions).

Realistically though, we would have to raze their cap, we couldn't keep it.

Don't let all this fiery talk alarm you I have no intention of throwing our game away early. We need to keep that impi moving east to continue defogging for our next city. Settler comes in about 9 turns.

Demos T62. Back on top comfortably in food stat. GNP roaring due to double prereq bonus on Writing
I don't really have any exciting news in the southeast. No new resources uncovered yet. No seafood on the South Sea. It is possible for us to get boats into the South Sea from the North Sea through the two intermediate lakes as long as we plant a city and build a fort there (or build two forts, but that just seems like a waste of good tiles). I'll post a picture once I have something more interesting to show off ... It would be sweet if we stumbled upon gems or gold to give us an extra happy all around.
If we'd decided to go for Oracle we would have had at worst coin flip odds of landing it (still isn't founded yet). All 150 hammers would have been coming in this turn for it, so we would either have gotten free MC, or enough gold to tech for 15 turns [Note to self: Next time just try it. You'll want the techs anyway for Monarchy later.]

Yep, could have got Oracle but we got a city with those hammers instead, 10T before it otherwise would have been founded, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Complete picture of south coming next turn (still have about 4 tiles left to defog along the river since I took the long way around the little lake).

Here's a preliminary dotmap of the south. How importand should levees be in considering city sites? I'm thinking not very important, because the game will most likely be decided by the time we get to the modern era. I like Orange with a monument chopped in ASAP (can work overlapped cottage for Grand Slam until border pop). It claims 5 river grasslands, lots of food potential, close enough to share a couple cottages while waiting for cottages of its own. With the current arrangement we have minimal overlap, and two forts will allow connection between the North and South Seas. And since overlap contains food resources, the monument border pop will help the next purple/magenta cities get off the ground quicker. Plus the food overlap provides flexibility.

But yeah, ignore levees.

That's odd. About two months ago this happened and it was just a temporary Dropbox issue, but I think it was happening to a lot of people then. All the pictures in this and any other thread download fine for me. Are you trying to view from a phone or a real computer? (If you're trying on your computer, maybe try on your phone and see if it works there).

On phone.
Yours isn't the only thread, so maybe its a dropbox region thing?
Still I may be able to log in today instead.
