We do want some missionaries, and Paya costs the same as 5 1/2 missionaries. So yeah, let's just put that on the backburner for now.
Another detail that I keep forgetting is that when we start the golden age and adopt hinduism, all our hindu cities will gain +1 happiness. This is particularly relevant in the capital and in OTR. We can time those cities to grow into unhappiness EOT122. The capital does not have to wait for the market before growing.
If you know what I mean.

Good point concerning religion. Capital should be changed to max food for the next turn (we can get that 3tC in the north improved too). I think OTR is growing in time without changes.

I did run another test. Delayed HN Great Person to T125 and growing Caipirinha 1st before starting to works specialists there. We've a minor problem, if we don't get Scientist from HN since we can't bulb Education and probably we should just collect gold and research Metal Casting while doing it. We also don't have good immediate use for any other Great Person type. Our next GP after that should then be from OTR ~T128. That has a very high chance of being Scientist.

I had the same thought, about maybe letting the capital grow to 15 during the first three GA turns, while completing its market, and then running specialists.
I made a new spreadsheet to experiment with the GP micro:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...SFE#gid=19
Feel free to clone that worksheet and try things out, I haven't settled on anything resembling a concrete plan myself yet.

I also tried sanity checking my estimates for how fast we can build the Taj.
The Taj is 700 hammers.
If we've got a forge and OR, each chop / whip overflow will be 30 * 2.5 = 75 hammers. We need 9 of those + 25 hammers.
If we only have OR, each chop / whip overflow will be 30 * 2.25 = 67 hammers. We need 10 of those + 30 hammers.
So the smoothest way to get it would definitely be to get metal casting, do 6 chops (I'm thinking chopping the deer will be worth it?) and two whips. That would leave us 100 hammers short, or 40 base hammers, which should be 3-4 turns of production - in other words, it is feasible to construct the Taj in three turns after discovering Nationalism. But I guess we can make something work with three whips as well, so getting MC isn't a hard requirement. With three whips, it would have to be a 5-turn build.
Still, it's tempting to pick up metal casting, even if we should decide to build universities before forges in some cities.
If you know what I mean.

We can do cascading whips. Have e.g. a settler at 99/100 and e.g. a monastery on 59/60. On T-3 whip e.g. a spear for max overflow, on T-2 whip the monastery, and on T-1 whip the settler for 100 hammer overflow into TM. You get the idea, not sure what we have time to prepare, though.

Added my idea. 1st comes on T124 from HN, 2nd on T128 from OTR (I like to get it out ASAP so that it can start working those coastal tiles, 3rd from WIFOM (T130), 4th from HN on T131 and 5th from Caipirinha on T134 (800 points). I would convert to OR+slavery on T132-133 in this case. After that WIFOM+HN could continue working extra specialists.
We can get MC after Education (or before it) and start Universities elsewhere and Forge in DeerSlayer. Of course if HN's 1st GP is not Scientist we certainly should get MC before Education.

We could leave the library in Deerslayer unfinished at close to 88/90 just to keep our options open. Maybe a whip sequence of library > monastery/worker > courthouse > Taj is possible. But if we're going to need some turns of production anyway, it's easier to just one pop whip some units. (We don't get the OR bonus on those whips, though.)
Maybe do 4 whips, cascading the first two so that it's still a 5 turn build. In that case, definitely leave the library unfinished, as we would need plenty of stuff to one pop whip.
If you know what I mean.

Your plan looks great. We can probably drop out of caste on T132 and let the capital's scientist come a few turns later. Then he can hopefully bulb into PP on the turn that he's born.

The point of cascading is to do the whips before Nationalism has been teched. What is our Nationalism ETA?
