[SPOILERS] scooter, pindicator, and Huayna Capac try some fast Zulu cuisine

In case it's not clear what I was laughing about... Clam City grew to size two on the EXACT turn we would have wanted. 1T sooner and he gets to whip out a second unit before we capture. 1T later and we would have razed it. Now we'll get to keep smile. He'll almost assuredly whip something this turn, but it won't complete before we capture (we're still going to wait for them to play first of course). Such a nice break for us.

I was quite wrong.

In your defense, that was a perfectly reasonable prediction lol. I don't think anything quite like this has been attempted before in an RB game.

Yeah Pindicator talked me out of this. Short-term it would be nice as an instant 1/1/3 is sliiiightly preferable to a 2/0/1 (in a vacuum, not accounting for future growth), but we're much more interested in food than commerce right now. So grassland will go first. We definitely want to get 1-2 of those workers headed down south though so we can do some chopping at that planned southeast forest city.

Not what I meant. I'm used to fark, where "golf clap" means respectful appreciation. I'm certainly impressed. :-)

Okay, let's take Clam City! India whipped a unit there as expect, so let's hurry up and take this before the unit can defend.

Pindicator swayed me to take the higher-odds shot first to give us the best chance of having 2 chariots for use on FG, so we did that (though the "lower odds" chariot was actually promoted some). Success.

Nothing in it of course, but it's nice to save another settler. India is officially OCC'ing! Anyways, I took the liberty to swap Sid's over to a warrior.

We badly need 2 warriors for SS and Culver's so that those 2 Impis can join the assault on FG. The settler from Culver's will come out just fine for the southeast forest city anyways. Here's the north:

We really need an archer in both of these cities so we can use all these units on FG. So I've shuffled the 1 archer towards Dominos, and we really need to get an archer out of TGIF. The catapult is already on those two galleys, and I think next we load up the 1-moving axes. The 2-move axe + Impi can run to the east coast by land at the last minute since they can get there fast enough. Here's the demos:

Not because I care about ours, but because I care about India's. They have 72k soldiers this turn after Clam city is gone. Let's track their additional soldier builds so we get an idea if they slip in more Triremes or something.

Do we want to offer straight peace? Or are we going to be ready to attack FG before 10 turns are up?

Edit: Amd be mindful of barb axes. If we defend with warriors we will need fog busters or a chariot.

It may be more like 7-8T? So that's hard to say. I haven't done the math or planned that far ahead.

It will take 7t for our back galley to reach the staging tile. That gives us 4 galleys or 8 units, and hoping he doesn't sink any of them.

As for his units, I can't remember the last time I saw FG grow. Honestly, I think between us taking his happy resources and India's whipping, I would say that it has at least 1 angry face, maybe 2. (For soldier points, keep in mind that triremes and archers are both 3k power, so ... dunno if we'll be able to discern what he whipped, just that he whipped.)

That could be one reason not to offer peace: if War Weariness is contributing to his unhappiness then we don't want to let up, otherwise the WW going away would let him whip again.

As for our unit composition, how about 3 axes (incl GG), 2 catapults, 2 impi, 1 chariot? I say 1 chariot b/c I think we need to keep something on Atlantis to deal with any barbarians that would spawn. It would be embarrassing to conquer India only to lose a city to barbs.

Breaking Down India's Soldier Points...

72k total

Population
3 citizens = 1k power

Technology
All the ancient era techs that give power (AH, Archery, BW, Hunting, Mining, Sailing, Wheel) = 26k
Classical techs we know of:
Construction = 4k
Iron Working = 10k
Mathematics = 6k
Metal Casting = 4k
Alphabet = 4k *We don't know they have this, but it seems silly that they'd not have it. Why build TGL and not let yourself get foreign trade routes?

Technology Total = 54k

Units
We've seen:
Axe = 6k
Galley = 2k

Add all that up and we have a subtotal of 63k soldier points. That only leaves 9k left
I'm assuming 3 archers (3k ea). It could also be some combination of Triremes (3k), Galleys (2k), and Walls (2k).

But I think 1 axe, 3 archers, and a GG to go between them is what we're likely up against. Feel good that 6 attackers and 2 suicide cats can take that on.

WW is definitely not an issue for him. You don't accumulate WW inside your own borders. Also, WW is lowered in RBMod I think... We've captured a half dozen cities and only have 1 unhappy face strictly from WW.

Regardless, let's stay at war I think. A delay of 1-3T in attacking could be the difference between a couple extra units for him via whip, and that could mean several extra lost units for us.

Also, thanks so much for the power breakdown thumbsup. I think it's unlikely he built a second galley. It's also not walls because we would be able to see those. I bet it's either 3 archers or 2 archers + 1 trireme. Most likely 3 archers.

You do, but not as quickly.
I have to run.
