I really can't see us being able to blitz without reasonable notice. Given the time gaps, someone is going to have to stay up later than usual, someone is going to have to get up early, and someone is going to have to ensure they have an afternoon free, at a minimum.
For instance, in standard conditions, on weekdays I'll be readily available for stuff from 08:00 - 14:00 GMT. I'd be willing to be that the only person that's remotely suitable for on short notice would be Lewwyn, and even that is only going to be for part of that time.
Friday / Saturday night I could generally extend that 'til 17:00 GMT as an absolute latest end point. Which is what lead to the belief that Saturday, around 13:00 start, would be the only really feasible time for a blitz - if anyone vetos that, we're unlikely to get any.
I suppose I could do late morning Sunday (so, early morning Sunday for Lewwyn, late night Saturday GMT) if there was sufficient (ie. several days, so I can try to fix my sleep pattern) notice, but again, there's likely to be someone that doesn't fit either.

Tasunke, I won't be able to do a blitz session until a while from now, if ever. I would need time to prepare several encounters, faster than you guys are playing through them, and at the moment I'm probably overcommitted in terms of stuff at RB. I just can't see finding the time to get that far ahead of you guys.
If you really want to play at a fast, face-to-face style pace - you probably need to recruit a group in Real Life.

The pace is fine.
If there comes a time that you would (as DM) be available for a Blitz ... would you let us know? (as opposed to repeatedly asking you ;p)

I think all we need now is for Brick to chime in .. otherwise I guess we can assume that he hangs back with Commodore.

Yeah, sorry, I was in rush this morning and that came out harsher than I intended. My apologies
The point still stands though - if we ever have a blitz I'll need to know several days in advance at a minimum. But thankfully it seems it's not relevant at the moment, and I'm quite sure we can rely on Mardoc to let us know if that changes

Yes, of course I'd let you know if I get to a point where I'm prepared for a live session. Just...don't hold your breath.
More likely to happen once my pitboss and PBEM games come to an end, but also depends on what's happening in Real Life.

Is everyone here familiar with the metric system? I'm not used to imperial units, so it'd be easier for me if we used the metric system. I imagine, though, that you have the same difficulty that I have. In this case, better to leave as it is and I'll just google the values (until I start converting them automatically).

I have equal familiarity with both ... except for the whole conversion thing

Moderately, but most of the rules are in English units. I've been doing a fair bit of conversion, recently, at work a bunch of American engineers are working on a plant built in metric units, so all their intuition is in imperial and all the numbers are in metric.
100 feet is about 30 meters, for the currently relevant number. I'll try to post distances in both, at least until I forget.
