The giant screenshot is cool once in a while, but maybe you could put it in spoiler tags as it pwns the page layout (for me at least). Never statisfied, me

I don't think spoiler tags work on this forum, but in this case, it's not the issue; the huge pictures are attachments, not shown in the post itself, but displayed at full size in the attachment section. The only way I know of to prevent this is to attach two or more files to the same post, in which case each is shown only as an icon and filename you can click to see the full image/file. I guess one solution would be to attach an aptly named one-pixel image (nothing.jpg or whatever) to each post that also features the full-sized map....

T29 - Well, my brave Western Scout - popped from my first Hut - is dead. The odds on the Panther were only a touch over even, and he sadly lost. Not a lot else to tell, it's turning into a bit of a Zoo East of Edirne with a Lion joining the Bear. Workers are working, Settler is building, Scouts are healing or re-tracing their steps.
A glance through the demo graphs tells me that I should see mh's first city founded soon. He's been running max-hammers for the past while (maximise the mp bonus) but last turn switched back to food. Oh, and he founded Buddhism from the shape of the culture graph. I can now see his and athlete's demos, and am working on Ruff's.
@Swiss: Yep I'd worried about that myself, but hadn't thought of a solution ... thanks RefSteel for supplying one!

t30 - very quiet turn. Main thing of note is Daisy finishing the road from Istanbul to Edirne so will get trade routes next turn. Settler & BW due in 3t.

t31 - Daisy starts a cottage at Edirne. Warrior looking East spots Spices - the plains hills spot would have been pretty good, but we can get another city in there.
Newsfom abroad; the hiccough in mh's graph turns out to be a revolt to Slavery. Ruff has re-named his capital "Founders Folly" ... which is interesting. And Sooooo has settled Sparta!

t32 - a very meh turn, until it's over. Technically I won't discover Bronze Wroking until next turn, however since it credits beakers at eot I can cancel out of the menu and review Copper locations. So mine is a few tiles NW of Istanbul - fits with the Pigs/Rice city & also overlaps with the potential filler which would pick up the Cows. So no changes to the dotmap, though maybe a re-prioritisation of cities down the line. With Horses & Chariots available though, I don't need Copper immediately.
athlete's Copper could be picked up with a Rice/Gold city - so I'd guess that as a first City for him. Ruff's (assuming he Eastern Copper is intended to be his) is a chunk further from his Capital, which makes me wonder if he moved before Settling or if there's another Copper off in the fog.

t33 - discover Bronze Working. Since the Settler will complete next turn, I'll hold off revolting to Slavery until then. In World News, Sooooo & mh have joined Ruff in Slavery (which since events are off, there's no downside). mh has also settled Prague.
I'm intending to make a play for The Oracle - free Prophet points - but am not ready to do so yet, so first I'm going to make a grab for Judaism since I'm halfway there already. Masonry in 2t.

What would you slingshot with the free tech, assuming you get it? I would guess that Code of Laws would be less appealing if you have multiple religions on hand already.

Actually CoL was my intention, though not for the religion. Cheap Organized Courthouses to support a rapid expansion.
EDIT: I am probably getting greedy here (or maybe I've got Templars' syndrome), but I need to build an additional Worker in Istanbul before starting on the Oracle.

t34 - Settler in Istanbul, start Granary & revolt to Slavery. Exploration to the East is dangerous....
