Realms Beyond Dungeons Gameplay thread

As Bradwyn approaches the crest of the hill, he and Thoven start to be able to make out words:

"HEY, GAR, LOOK WHAT HAPPENS IF I PULL THE TOES APART"
"OWOWOWOW...please just kill me already..."
"DAR, THAT'S COOL, BUT HAVE YOU TRIED TUGGING ON THE EARS?"
"AIIIII...."
"OOH! BUT WHAT ABOUT..."

It's been three rounds. At this point, Bradwyn is just below the crest, Thoven is about halfway, and the rest of you have just finished dismounting, tying up the horses, and making your preparations. We'll go ahead and play this one round at a time, now.

can I see them below me? how far below me are they? (50ft x 100ft? (0.5 gradient)) (30ft x 100ft? (0.3 gradient))

I cautiously peer out from behind a tree to try and get visual bearings.

Perception bonus as 4.

Survival roll (for determining the slope of the hill), is a (16+6) = 22

I have a bad feeling about all these high rolls *before* the battle frown ... makes me wonder what my chances are once the attack rolls start coming down.

Edit: do I need to reroll for stealth?

At the moment, Bradwyn cannot see the source of the noise, due to the shape of the land. There's a dropoff in about 10 more feet. Probably if you advance that far, you can see.

You need to roll for stealth if you're doing anything and want to remain unnoticed, once per round.

Mara moves forward cautiously, following Thoven & Bradwyn, weapons to hand but not loaded/drawn.

<ooc:

@Mardoc: do I need to re-roll for stealth when that's actually the same as the original roll was for? i.e. when I wrote the last post I didn't know I'd overshot the end of the time period you wanted actions for, so I'm not sure if that stealth roll was "used up" or not smile Also, where's Kilthan? Between the rest of us & Thoven or with those of us who were tying up horses?

@Tasunke: is that an actual spoiler in the "do not read" sense? I'm being more cautious about clicking every single spoiler tag coz it's a game thread smile >

Grouk shrugs and walks along with the bulk of the party towards to noise. He cracks his knuckles; what other weapons does a monk need?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Relieved that his stubborn brother will not spoil the adventure of the day, Gunther walks forward alongside him.

I've made a crude battlemap here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?...sp=sharing
Let me know if I'm misinterpreting anything. For instance, I assumed Grouk is trying for Stealth.

Pling, I'll use your previous roll for this round.

I'll advance alongside the rest of the group.

I'll stay protecting the dwarf.

Stealth 16 [9+7]

Thoven advances another 30 ft.
