No, you've already rolled for your actions - I really don't want a precedent of roll first, then decide.

Results coming after the Pitboss turn is played, maybe an hour or two from now.

Whelp. I guess I'm going to use my move at full speed -5 stealth modifier to move 30 ft to the ridge and attack if I recognize a target this round.

Stealth 6 [4+7-5]

Perception is +5 mod

If I percieve a threat:

Attack roll is natural 20!
I roll for critical threat = 14+8= 22

Roll for damage = 6
If critical: x3 = 18

So I really hope you roll a nice perception roll for me Mardoc.

----------------------------------------------

Tas just so you know for future reference if you had waited this round I could have moved to the ridge full stealth this round and then next round cast Sleep as our groups first move and possibly immobilized a majority of the threat while still allowing you to rapid shot any threats not within the spell's 10ft burst radius. Additionally we could have made perception checks this round with out the possibility of failure negating our attack rolls, and still be stealthed, and have the rest of the party closer. I'm fine with you running off and doing your thing because its interesting for the game, but when we get to later and likely more difficult encounters, please exercise just a bit more restraint. crazyeye

I want to say something, but I'm not sure how my character would be able to say that in the middle of the action. So i'm posting it in spoilers and people can only read it if Mardoc allows it.

Wait, so you are going to attack even though we don't know what we are dealing with? We might end up attacking kids doing a tickle game...

Yes, you can say that, Ichabod. Not stealthily, of course smile. It's short enough to count as a free action

But...as the two archers crest the hill, they see a pair of humanoids, really big, about 10 feet tall (3 m), doing something to a normal sized person. They each have a club and a bunch of javelins, laying on the ground nearby. Thoven succeeds on a Knowledge: Local check to recognize these as Ogres

Tasunke's shot would have hit, if not for the trees in the way (concealment miss chance), but Lewwyn hits the close one right in the eye. It screams in pain, and yells "I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT, COWARD".

The Ogres each grab their club, and start charging up the hill.

Kilthan, on hearing the commotion, sighs, puts away his sketchpad again and pulls out his axe, and starts moving at a faster pace. Round 6 has begun - you may each make your moves.

Because it came up - the ridge blocks line of sight from one side to the other for anyone not within 2 squares of it. There are also enough trees here that no one may run, and all ranged attacks will suffer from a small concealment penalty.

Ogres!?

Sounds good. I'll assume that, if we survive, you will have given this advice to my character after the battle. The primary reasons for my actions was that I didn't know how long we had until the medium sized humanoid died ^_^

Thoven shouts, "OGRES!"

Thoven recognizes he's become the one ogre's sole target and he sure looks fast.

Thoven casts Levitate and uses his move action to go 20 ft into the air.

Bradwynn shouts "Shit! Run!!!"

And proceeds to run through the forest full kilt ( only 60 feet due to maneuvering through the trees, as opposed to a reverse charge wink )

As he begins to run, he notices Lewwyn's flight. "What if they have bows!? Fly backwards!!!" XD

Move to H-32. Stealth 13 (4+9).
Draw Rapier.
