New EitB PBEM?

My best timeslot to play would be from 17:30 - 19:00. I can basically guarantee to play between those times every day. If the save misses that time, then i'll have about a 80-90% chance I can still catch it anytime before midnight anyhow but I won't be able to guarantee when.

Also, can you confirm whether I should be PM'ing somebody my picks or not please?

You can PM your picks to Mardoc. We have some banned leaders, as seen in the rules:

Game Speed: Quick

Difficulty: Immortal/Cylindrical or Emperor/Toroidal

Diplomacy: AI Diplo, with some specifics. Tech trading is off.

Raging Barbarians – OFF

Wildlands – OFF

Orthus – OFF

Acheron – OFF

Huts - OFF

Lairs – OFF

Hyborem/Basium – No new players (i.e. you can play them if you were the one summoning, but no new players can be brought to control them)

Banned Leaders:

a) Beeri Baul of the Luchuirp
b) Vollana of the Svartalfar
c) Amelanchier of the Ljosalfar
d) Keelyn of the Balseraphs
e) Perpentach of the Balseraphs
f) Falamar of the Lanun

By the way, the diplo is slightly different from the normal AI diplo: you can also propose that someone declares war/end trades with a certain player and you can also ask them to change religions/civics (as in, everything you can propose to an AI). You do this by email or ingame chat, but you can't add any other text to the message (only the command). Gentlemen agreement that someone will really commit to what was accepted (of course, you can just declare a phony war and not send any units, but you have to declare war).

No need to rush, I'm still deciding my picks and Mardoc will probably take some time with the map.

I'm GMT -4 (-5 as of Sunday when we swap to Daylight Time).

My best time slot is 19:00-22:00 local time. So 23:00 to 02:00 GMT I think.

I can sometimes play in my mornings as well, but don't count on it.

1) Are Minor leaders available as picks? (I'm hoping the answer is "no")
2) When replying to a trade offer, are things such as "WHEOOHRN" or "WFYABTA" acceptable? Or is it simply "accept" or "decline" ? I'm fine with either.

1) You mean the new leaders from EitB? They are avaiable, apart from Vollana. Any reasons you'd like them banned?

1) You mean the new leaders from EitB? They are avaiable, apart from Vollana. Any reasons you'd like them banned?

Mostly because they are untested, and hence probably unbalanced (cf Ag Svart Scout rushes). I'd rather stick with the tried and the true. (TBH, I'd be fine with base FFH II......but I'm not going to try and add that to the settings vote. )

You're probably right. I just figured it might be fun to answer diplo exactly the same way as an AI does.

Playing windows: 9:00-11:00, 17:00-18:00, 23:00-2:00 GMT. Most reliable time is probably the morning one (edit: although I tend not to wake up quite that early on the weekends).

If anyone wanted to be a dedicated lurker, you'd be welcome. Gives me reason to update the thread. Now I have a long commute every day, I think that updating the thread may be easier than ever.
