[spoilers] Commodore: Worse than Toku, it's Giggles of Siam!

Scooticator are 2t from Triremes.....which means they will pose a threat.
How sure are you that they'll be Dalek-in' our way, though? Out east, uncontested awesomeness is a border pop away. In any case, I'm mustering the triremes, no worries. They won't find us unprepared. hammer

On the other matter...northern pigs/clams/rice city (Eastshore Trace)...think we can make something great there?

That would be a very nice shiney to grab if we can pull it off. (if we can't....with OR and Marble its a better than 2:1 hammer to failgold conversion party win win. )

Anarchy over, and...actually, pretty much same old, same old. I'm getting depressed by the Hinduism spread rate, I'm getting infinite free spreads. My heroic epic city, really RNG?

Ah well, I need trust free spreading anyway, it's missionaries that are the things. My "Taoist core" is humming along at least. It's nice to see the workshops start to sprout, although honestly we need Caste and/or Guilds before they really begin to shine. Still, hope you like the graphics, because the stuff settled north is all farms/workshops, man.

Bureauford Academy is going to be how we research. I realized the problem with building the Great Library north in the GP-farm spot is that it needs a library first. Oh well, we'll knock it out in the capital; it's only a seven turn build there once the forge comes online. thumbsup

I'm toying with adventure, too. The wagons are all massing to strike at Angle, either next turn or in two additional if Serdoa has a good garrison.

EXTRA BONUS TURN REPORT FOR THE MAKE BENEFIT FAST TURNS:

Yeah, no adventures yet. Serdoa isn't putting any worker turns into this sucker, but by golley he's got a garrison.

For once the free spreads weren't Hindu! Taoism spread in Hidden Valley, freeing the missionary visible to go further east to Western Heights. Oh, and we're giving Serdoa an extra 1gpt. rolleye

So, here's the Window of Potential Screwage (WoPS); Two more turns after this one. 247 this turn. 64x2.25=144 next turn. 9 the turn after. Then, we either have the Parthenon jive or half of what we need for Civil Service. rantrant

I walk around these conquests of mine and I hate how they're a drain...

Said woman take it slow, it'll work itself out fine.
All we need is just a little patience.
Said sugar make it slow and we'll make this core grow fine
All we need is just a little patience
Patience, patience, patience
Ooh, oh, yeah...

You asked why we're not pillaging the Ruins of Subway? This:

Beyond that, not a lot of events in either sense happening at the moment. Getting ready to cancel the ivory sale with Lewwyn; sorry buddy, but we need Ballistaphants to feel a bit more secure. The of no doubt many 10% missionary losses occurred, dang Zulu heathens. They also have a watchman chilling with ours now.

Whipped in the first courthouse, and it's a notable difference already. The main issue is going to be ensuring we don't fall behind too much tech-wise in the middle term, long term this kind of infra and our excellent land should serve us amazingly well.

I also see a rash of Serdoan updates and lurker thread buzzing. Um, leetle nervous.

Quiet ho-humitude. Now we have at least a coinflip shot at the Parthenon, so that's nice. It'll be nice and exciting if we land it, accelerating our Great Prophet (or Merchant) to a mere twelve more turns. Playing whack-a-mole with barbs is only so interesting, really.

I can try to squeak in the Great Wall soon to stop them from bothering us; two more turns and stone is within borders, and then with OR/forge it's only 60 hammers. Poplar Point is going to appreciate getting actual food inside its borders too. I think I'm coming around to this being a hammer spot, really.

For "not a hammer spot" and some rice, I whipped a settler to go north from Coldspring; a pair of axes are sweeping its way and the new city will hook pigs and get a granary chop instantly. Meanwhile, after overflowing to 1t a missionary Coldspring will be spared the whip to get the hammers for a while. I guess it could still get scientists/cottages too, though.

Power is interesting, just got Plako's graphs, he and Lewwyn are about to overtop us. That's not cool, and frankly kinda scary.

Okay, then, let's take a -2 health hit in the capital and cancel the ivory deal, how about Ballin' Pants? Need more mammoths, guys, seriously. They'll make me nicely knight-immune, if that's ever relevant.

Oh. And...it might be. mischief

It might yet, I'm not planning on making this an extended conflict, I just cannot accept a port poking into my bay. I'll raze the city unless he reinforces, and offer peace. 'course, this is Serdoa so he might mope around and blubber about how he is ruined and now only a ragequit war can be a balm to his heart (see most recently PBEM 46). Still, that wouldn't be all bad. Better he send knights overland in ten turns (judging by GNP, he's only 5-7 turns from Guilds) than eat Xenu/Brick and come overseas with rifles in 50 turns.

And, yeah. Got an irate peace offer from Serdoa. Sorry dude, like this would be worth, um, anything?
That's 345 gold in upgrades, for those counting at home, and a nice delay on Guilds. It might actually be borderline doable to raze the city, though...mechanics question, if I blockade 1S of Angle, he should be cut off from iron/copper, right? Even if he artist-pops his borders?

That stub of a river I think gives him a sea route along the North coast so I don't think you can reliably block trade.

We've seen some wierd trade group mechanics, so not sure.
