Ducked in a little and did some obvious stuff.
Then realized that we messed up at Sid's! Really! Who picked turn 150 as the date?
It's not a big mistake - we started and whipped the forge a turn early. We'll grow to size 4 at end of this turn but we don't need to hire the engineer spec until t153. So whoops.
Commodore is whipping a lot. I think Serdoa is gonna find out what war elephants are like in RBMod.
Also, we have tops in GNP when I turned up CoL to 100%. How bout that?
Edit; Turn is not ended and not done

Almost forgot: there were two trades when I opened the game. I accepted them both:

Yeesh, you weren't kidding, Commodore whipped SIX times. Yeah good luck with that Serdoa, we'll be rooting for you.
I whipped the forge on T150, but I also only did it because there was a sign there that instructed me to do so .
I haven't been able to login during the day as my laptop's seeming inability to charge its battery is more or less turning it into a desktop computer... Though I should be able to pop into the game tonight after work.

Oh yeah, that was all me on the goof
I meant to finish last night but didn't - i think i was trying to find something for our workers to do - the one by JJ should maybe cottage? Or we should whip JJ a forge when it hits size 6
For buildings i've been thinking Granary -> Lighthouse (if needed) -> Forge -> Library
At least in general

Yeah I was a little stumped with what to do with the JJ worker too, so I completed one of the half-finished roads last time. JJ is in pretty great shape worker-wise since it has those Lighthouse lakes + all that coast. I think we generally want the city to grow and then get converted into a workshop site when it's a much higher size. So putting down cottage there doesn't make muchs sense.
Building order sounds about right. We may want Ikhanda before Library in a few places potentially, though we're aiming for that quest so maybe that changes things.

Well it's not a battery/cord problem, it's the laptop itself. But anyways, I've had it for almost 5 years (of very heavy use) and I'm basically just trying to run it into the ground a liiiiittle longer . I figure if I can make it hit the 5 year mark that's pretty solid.

I'm not sure workshops are going to be worth it en masse until we get Guilds or swap to caste. I think caste could work, but seems like that would need to wait until we get some basic infrastructure in our cities. At least until we move past the two-pop range for whipping stuff in.
I'm also not sure i'm ready to give up on FIN yet either
As for ikhanda v. library, i'll take a look at that but based on what i've seen with courthouse v. library i'm pretty sure we're going to want library first. I can go into that more tonight

By workshop it heavily I mean when we're looking at a sz14 or so city, which given it's total lack of food surplus & infrastructure is a ways away. I just mean IF we're laying down workshops at that city in 50-60 turns, investing in cottages when we have FIN coast readily available is a pretty iffy idea.
Library is definitely better than Ikhanda economically since we aren't Agg. I just figure it would be nice to at least have 1-2 in our more hammer-centric cities in case we need military suddenly.

I haven't been into the game for the new turn yet, but I did pop in and take two pictures from this past turn. First, this was fun:
That GNP is pretty hot. It's also with us burning through deficit gold and I think a few others are saving gold, so it's not really, you know, accurate, but it's fun anyways . Also this:
Crazy. So Commodore signed peace with Serdoa after making 0 gains and whipping a bunch. I don't get this at all. I'm assuming the squabble was over this barb city as it's the only border they "share" (sort of)... But this is pure on Commodore's part. Commodore is in the driver's seat for this game, and he has to know that much. He comfortably has more land than everyone, and he has quite a few places left to settle. The ONLY person even vaguely near him that can threaten him is Serdoa. Azza? No way. Also, Azza wouldn't want to hurt Commodore anyways since Commodore helped keep him alive along with us. Lewwyn not really either, since Azza is in the way. And it's not like we're a threat to him.
So the ONLY person who could hurt him is Serdoa. That's it. And wouldn't you know, he probably just pissed him off. I sure hope so anyways. Not to mention Serdoa is more prone to drop rationality and make emotional decisions.... So from my admittedly limited perspective I give this is a solid 5 out of 5.
(if there's a totally logical explanation for all this and I'm simply not aware of it, oops! I just can't resist the opportunity to pass short-sighted judgment )
