Qgqqqq

While I do think Qg is suspicious, I'm not reading scummy Gazglum. Everyone wanted to lynch him last game because of his "Can do" attitude and overall awkwardness, at least that's how it seemed. Either way this game he seems similar to me... at least in the first two posts.

Qg... playing too terrible to be scum? Except that he just called himself out as playing terribly as an excuse. rolleye

Whenever a post starts with "while I do think X is suspicious", alarm bells go off. And then he oddly contradicts that in the very next paragraph, saying he is playing too terrible to be scum. Except that... yadda yadda. So there's a whole lot of waffling going on here. I was reading this post as a pretty big scumbuddy alert, but I didn't really want to call attention to it until we heard some more from Lewwyn, preferring to lynch Q first anyway. But there you have it. Maybe this will at least stir Lewwyn into action.

You scum Zak?

I'm not seeing contradictions about Qg. I stated I think Qg is suspicious and Gaz was not. The "while I do" part contrdictes Qg and Gaz. The bit about Qg playing too terrible to be scum is simply a foil to illustrate how he's not playing too terrible to be scum because he recognizes that he is playing terribly and is now using it as an excuse. So it wasn't "hemming and hawing" but a deliberate literary juxtaposition to bring into relief the scumminess of Qg actually saying he was playing too terribly to be scum. (I gave this awesome lecture last night about being a teacher, and I think I'm still riding that high a bit.lol)

I hadn't voted for Qg yet because I wanted to see a little more movement first. Luckily I get to be awake for the next 12 hours and can actually see what happens leading up to the vote.

Zak... poor attack. Currently being voted by Ryan (reasons I don't understand) and Gaz (reasons I do understand).

I'm currently voting for Jkaen, but Jkaen switched off Qg who had a commanding lead. Looking to even the field so that it isn't just a landside? I think that's actually a slightly pro-village no matter Qg's alignment. However, Qg's recent actions of voting ryan and then voting Jkaen seem to be flailing, but seriously without any goal except not to be lynched. I mean Qg are you even trying to scum hunt at all? I want to vote for Qg because I think he's scummy, but Zak is voting for him and his attack on me feels scummy even if nothing else has. Qg... Zak... Qg... Zak

don't like zaks suggestion that if q is scum then probably no other scum voting. I find it quite possible that (for example) scum zak placed a throw away vote on q early which gained more traction than he expected. infact all the q votes were made sufficiently early to allow votes to migrate away

I stand by my assessment, Jkaen, but we can return to that if Q flips scum. I'm not asking you to clear the Q voters, I'm just saying that it's reasonable to look for scumbuddies among the non-voters. All of this is assuming that he's scum, of course.

Lewwyn, you are saying your post was a "deliberate literary juxtaposition" to highlight how scummy Q was. That's not how it read to me, and I don't think my alternative interpretation of "hemming and hawwing" is a stretch. Hence I don't think my attack against you is poor. I will leave it at that, because I want you to help me lynch Q. tongue
If you know what I mean.

Zak - ignoring everything else - as Ryan mentioned earlier, I have a much larger chance of flipping town then scum.
I mean sure, you've got a lead your excited about, but it feels really scummy that your going around generating (what will be clearly when I flip town) noise. I really think you're just trying to seem helpful without contributing much (you'll obviously be ignoring this when I flip town, yet it will seem live you were actively scumhunying, whereas in fact your contributing nothing).
I'm getting this oh look at me I'm scumhunting feeling from a few of your posts actually

Please don't try to refute/ignore this while I'm alive - its pretty obvious that I'm gonna die, so come back once I'm dead and consider it then (this applies to all my posts know - I know its easy to dismiss something from someone who seems like evil, so id rather you waited till later).

Other players:
- I dunno why but Ryan really does feel off - maybe I'm associating it too much with the fact that his playstyle has changed so drastically since his modkill, but he feels weird
- Lewwyn, don't give him days off this game, we can't afford to. Please people don't keep him around because he's a good player that'll pick up speed after a while. So far he's seemed a bit lurkery and I worry how long you'll let him take it
- novice is a bit quieter then I'm used to, but that's probably just because there aren't as many people for him to be helpfully spamming with. Null tell
- serdoa feels different from usual, but believably so. If not scumhunting in the next few days should definitely be reexamined, but generally I like the new I'm (even if I feel slightly offended by the content of his posts
- Gazglum, no idea. I agree his play feels a bit awkward, but it generally seems to be good evil hunting despite it [asid: if I flip evil you're welcome to interpret this as distancing]
- JKaen feels weird. I talked about this earlier

As I said, take it all with a grain of salt, but I generally consider that my last will and testament, so id prefer people didn't start indignantly ignoring it as posted by the obvscum we all fingered in the first 24 hours, unless of course I do flip scum.
In other words, if you'd like to overabalyze it as scum distancing, scum buddying blah blah blah.... can you at least wait for your beliefs ti be vindicated?
Thanks.

Fake edit: oh and forgot to vote zakalwe

Agree with this.

Q, you realise that if you change your vote to Zak then he is in the lead, right? It's maybe a bit early to write a Last Will and Testament.

I'm sorry if I come across as awkward to everyone. Maybe I'm just an awkward person.

I agree with a few of your points Q. We can't afford Lurkers in a game this small. Lewwyn included, but I think he's been as active as anyone today.

Mattimeo though, if you are town please talk more than you are. It makes it really hard for the rest of us otherwise, we almost have to lynch you if won't get involved, but we can't afford mislynches. I know it's hard to do too much logic stuff on Day 1, but we need a bit of discussion to help us get a bead on your innocence (or guilt!) in days to come.

I don't know Ryan pre WW20 - he seems much the same to me.

Agree that Zak is generating sound and fury but signifying little.

ANd...preview post...and see that in fact Qqq has already responded to the weird non-vote. Good.

Any comments from Novice or Serdoa?

I thought it was 4-1-1 (me on jkaen, Lewwyn on zak)?

Ryan played one game before ww20 - ww19, where he was a village who got modkilled after something tasunke pmd him from the lurker thread (or something, I don't really understand what happened)
Anyway two things really characterized his play then - first he spammed a LOT (people we're considering killing him for it) and it was generally very badly formatted too (which characterized it from my spam, which was almost as bad fir the first few days of that game), and that he got very emotional about the game, basically attacking me non stop at one point when I wrote a post saying I thought his play was bad/put on.
This is why his emotional involvement in ww20 was believable, btw, and also why I don't like zak bringing up the emotional factor earlier, as it really destroys his arguments.

(Also if I survive today I'll redo the 10 posts thing, its just a little hard with defending)
