WW21 - The Professor Is Dead [game thread]

Just noticed that the tie is coming down to 'pros' vs 'not quite so pros'. It will be interesting to analyse that after the game. IS the old guard just protecting its own? Or are they the old guard because they're better players? shades

Jkaen, you said you noticed a contradiction, but you either failed to notice that I openly admitted it was a contradiction, or you chose to omit that part.

Q's role claiming post felt like he was hurrying to claim. Whether he was hurrying to make a real or a fake claim isn't really the main point. It was off, either way. After Azza's clarification on the game setup, it does sound unlikely that scum have fake claims. No need for that, if everything was randomly assigned.
If you know what I mean.

It was a long day of arguing at Planet Express, accusations were flying all over the place, but in the end it came down to 2. They decide to have a vote between just those two, to settle the matter once and for all, and to guarantee an unbiased vote they brought in outside assistance. The man tasked with conducting and counting the vote, the one and only Zapp Brannigan, instructed everyone to resubmit their votes. During this process one of the crew slipped a little something into their vote, as a way of ensuring they got the result they wanted.

The results were tallied, and revealed to the awaiting crowd.

Scruffy the Janitor, you have been found guilty of murdering the Professor. Your punishment will be death by snu-snu.

Qgqqqqq was Scruffy.

Scruffy was innocent.

Vote Tally
Q (4.5) - Lewwyn, Serdoa, zakalwe, novice
zakalwe (4) - Gazglum, Q, Ryan, Jkaen
Lewwyn (1) - Mattimeo

It is night.

Sorry Q should have argued your defense for you a bit better, as mentioned above seemed obvious you were a paniced villager.

Azza, if I understand your write up the tie break mechanism did not come into effect, can you confirm please?

Are we meant to read anything into that write-up, Azza? Why is Q listed with 4.5 votes?

I am assuming somebody used a power.

The final vote count was not a tie.

Abilities that affect the vote will only be shown in the vote tally after the deadline, and only then if they influence the result.

Rats.

Did Scruffy have any special abilities, Azza?
I have to run.
