Intersite Game - Turn Discussion Thread

We're going to emphasize elephants/cats soon, so axes would help complement that force.

For military builds, definitely cats (unless we are ever in need of cheap HR happiness in which case whatever is cheapest but it doesn't appear we need that at this point). Cats are the only thing we can build at this point which will maintain their usefulness for a while.

Logged in after Sullla had done the first moves of the turn and CivPlayers settled their coastal city. Sian was sent 1NE, so won't be able to continue towards CivFr's lands. He should be able to get visibility of the new city by moving 1N next turn.

CivPlayers already has a buddhist missionary en route to the city.

I noted another interesting thing while checking the culture maps of the teams:




That's WPC culture (though at 0%) in the whole first ring of Wilhelmshaven! The layout of the land pretty much means that there is no chance of us getting access to marble from WPC, at least not before WPC are eliminated.

Not sure how I managed to miss that change of ownership... It also means that there are score discrepancies as far back as at least T108 for WPC, probably a bit earlier.

I'm not sure you missed anything. I think the culture comes from the split second WPC occupation of (Old) Wilhelmshaven before it was razed. All it confirms is that the Germans rebuilt Wilhelmshaven on precisely the same tile.

In other news, it looks like the Spanish popped Copper at their capital! They pop Copper, we lose Chariots to Axemen: Civ is unfair.

I wouldn't mind another WC if only to get a bigger sample size of how much the RNG is trolling us.

Also since we have TGW and are planning on killing people in the not too distant future, it would be convenient to have a WC for a medichariot just lying around.
