Interesting:
In general, settling north over settling south seems warranted.

Logged in just to check around and stuff since I haven't yet. I do want you guys to know I'm not disappearing at all. I just don't happen to be at my civ computer when the turns roll. I'm definitely paying attention.
Anyway, things look good and there isn't a lot to input on, but I do want to stress that Joao's forests should go into settlers to maximize the hammer gain. Each forest is another settler I think. We should also start thinking about what Joao's second worker is going to do. Maybe chop into a 2nd settler + farm the wheat. 1st worker is mining sheep and then chopping into a settler > mining gems? Did someone make a sandbox?
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
It's all in Pin's head right now. He's helped so much, we need to add him to the name...I love LAMP?
The Brick is then also implied:

I only crunched the very beginning. Joao's next 2 builds will be worker -> settler, but I didn't have anything solid for what worker #2 does. Farm the wheat first, I think, but I'm not even 100% sure on that.
Joao's current worker will finish the cow pasture, then mine the sheep, then chop a forest into the settler. Which forest? Depends what we do next. I tentatively think the forest S of Lily is best, because that sets the worker up for heading to the gems and mining those next. Joao's 2nd worker... a lot more fluid. I think we want to have him farm the wheat for Violet. But that's open for debate. For Darius I'm a lot more confident in the order. When the worker finishes we want to mine the grass hill SE of the capital first. That will finish right in time for the work boat to finish with growth to size 3 and then Darius starts a settler working the Fish, Clams, and mined grass hill. Oh, and after mining the grass hill, do you chop the forest to get the settler out 1 turn quicker? Or do you farm the rice so you have more developed tiles? If you chop first, then the rice finishes 1 turn after settling city #2 - so I am leaning towards chopping and getting the settler out earlier. I can't commit to doing this constantly, so please don't depend on me for the continuing plan. Lewwyn is right about Joao and forests, though - we want to get a big base for Joao. The bigger we can get Joao early on, the quicker we can shoot Darius up once we get Code of Laws

Just wait til you see Bristlecone build a work boat and time growth to size 3 - and the grass mine finishing on the last turn that gets to work boat to 20/20 instead of 19/20
Oh, Bristlecone should work the plains forest & fish after the worker finishes. That's an important detail.
