love the heroic epic, maths can really pump out maces now
not much else going on this turn. whipped the library in shanahmeh, trieme in el cid, mace in iliad. whip maces with 1 turn left for overflow in king arthur, odyssey, and the aeneid next turn - and probably in popol as well.

Okay this is interesting because there are definite advantages to invading on T171 (It is turn 170 right now). If we invade 171 then bombard 172 then attack and kill T173。 We would not be able to kill all of his units, but then he only has units stacked at his top two cities and we will be continuously whipping mace from here on out.
I think maybe we should turn tech on now and get Engy in 4t. We need it ASAP since we're using 1 movers and they have to stream to our frontlines.
I think we whip Oddyssey, aneid and arthur this turn, overflow to maces and then whip em again.
We can get 10 maces and 10 cats + 2 axes + 2 spears (leave one in arthur with the archer) and one HA in position this turn to move into Azza's territory next turn. The one axe is C1 and has a promo, I say make that a medic. If he attacks out he will have bad odds and his cats will be much less effective with all of our cats soaking up collateral. We should be able to get another 3 maces to join these and we should be able to basically wipe Azza's army (for real this time). If his other army move sto help we have enough forces on the other side to pin it down.
SO yeah, I would say whip those 3 cities, move the armies into position (the mace in maths has to move S-SE to the hill to be in position) and then wait for Azza to play first on T171, then invade, bombard t172, kill on t173. Tech Engy and just keep building/whipping maces and cats until he's dead...
We're pretty much all in here. If we wait, we give him more time to build more maces and cats... and finish teching engy which just makes it a huge pain to fight him more. Engy is going to make his defense much better. I know it will preempt the boats but, we weren't going to really "surprise" him anyway.
I logged out so you can play the turn. You should wait for Azza anyway, and we can talk more in my morning about this. I'll get on gchat around 9am my time tomorrow (your evening).

he's in caste, btw, so if he's whipping maces he's going to have to spend a turn in anarchy.
well if he hasn't burned his GS he could pop a golden age, but hopefully he'll join it to tenacious D this turn and remove that option.
I just want to point out that for every 10 turns we don't fight, we can produce 8 maces out of maths, 5 maces out of gilgamesh, 2 (or better, 3-4 cats) out of king arthur.. and thats just in the immidate area. more out of the odyssey & aeneid, a few from iliad and el cid, - and in the east mahabrata and roland will be able to pump out military as well.
Anyway just something to think about - azza is in caste w/ very few workshops, I don't see how he could keep anywhere near our production. I think it would take us long to have overwhelming force on several fronts.
OTOH, we can still produce at this pace during the war and reinforce, and hitting earlier will keep our costs down and make the Taj goal more likely. so I'll bend here if you want.
not sure engineering is worth the detour.. but anyway shouldnt we wait for azza to finish it to get the known tech bonus? we can keep on max tax until he finished, that might shave a turn off of it?

Would it shave a turn? isn't the known tech bonus nerfed in this game.
