Machinery/Engineering. Until he proves otherwise I am of the opinion that Tasunke can be trusted, but our NAP ends in 15-turns anyway so we would be prudent to get an army into the field. I'll see if I can find half an hour this weekend to draw up a plan of worse-case emergency buildup and see what we can do. Our pop is high, and with forges in everywhere we can generate significant hammers through the whip.
In the mean time we should pump Cats out of San Juan. Also we need to mine the hills around Melaka/New York/Maracaibo.

So delay the University push in our hammer heavy cities and start Cats?
I'll mail off the messages in a minute, minus the NAP extension to Tasunke. Do we want to seem desperate? Well, if he's dedicated on attacking, it won't matter, and if he isn't attacking, crisis averted... I think we should send it, you?

Yeah, send to Tasunke. We can build cats just at San Juan and wait to whip in the U there untold we have all six or seven other U's in place for Oxford requirement. We can do 3-turn cats there, right?

What is the meaning of this? TEAM has massive whipping  What I don't understand is how/why Tasunke coul whip after ending turn?? ... This is not simultaneous so the game doesn't allow us to do any whipping when it's not our turn.
Maybe I'm missing/misunderstanding the mechanic? But regardless, Tasunke is up to something.

Well let's see, assuming Tasunke honors the NAP, we have 15 turns to build up, ~5 turns to Engineering and Pike/Castle whips. We should start whipping Walls in our frontlines and forget about the Universities.

Well well well, apparently Tasunke's dogpiling Trolls! In stark contrast to what he told us... so either he's lying to us to avoid leaks to Trolls, he's lying to Gillette and is invading us, or he changed his mind and is actually invading Trolls.

Sorry if I stole the turn from you this morning. I usually see you on in the evening, and I wasn't sure if you'd be on early Sunday. Since I won't be able to log in until this evening myself I wanted to make sure the turn was covered before leaving for church this morning.
Message to Gillette sounds good. Have you received a response from Tasunke about extending the NAP? Do we have any happy resource that Tasunke doesn't have yet? We could send a message to him along the lines of:

I'm getting the feeling that Machinery/Engineering would be better than Gunpowder. Pikes/Castles/Road Movement/Maces/Crossbows seems like a sweet deal, especially since Pikes beat Knights straight-up.
We have Wines to offer, but we're gifting them to Gillette. In a moment of weed, I realized we haven't hooked up our Spices yet.
