WW22 - Diaries of the Madmen

@uber I just though that we should choose the 4 wolf over 3 wolf in our estimate just so that we don't get surprised. People wanted to go for a small amount of wolves in WW 20 and in the end they got surprised by the big number. Novice made a lot of sense when he explained why it shouldn't be 4. You are allowed to be suspect me but I just wanted to explain my point of view more.

I like Ryan's last two posts a bit more than Novice's so I'll switch to Mattimeo for the same reason of 4-wolf paranoia

How was it Ryan floating it? stick's opening posts mention "one third" (of 11) being scum, and me and Gazglum had a back and forth about it probably being three 'cause we hope to god(s) it's not 4 before Ryan raised the topic.

Sure, he was the first to raise it as something we should be seriously concerned about, rather than merely the stuff of nightmares, but that doesn't really translate to "floating the theory". As much as I'd like to to be, flagrant lack of knowledge about game mechanics (as novice explained) isn't really a lynchable offence...

uber: taking a strict mathematical view of information provided by the narrator is reason for suspicion now?

Yes, because it's something wolves could use to try and establish a fake village tell of "not knowing how many wolves there are".

Yes, because 4 wolves in an 11 player game was a remotely feasible option...

If you're insistent on using speculation on the number of wolves as a voting reason, why not Gazglum? '2 or 3' at least has a feasible chance of either being the case, and incorporates thinking not prompted by a GM post.

I'm not sure I understand this sentence. You like Ryan's posts more than mine so you vote Mattimeo? What's the connection?

I agree with Mattimeo that if anybody was doing the "I don't know how many wolves there are" routine it was Gazglum. I had already put it down as a town tell in my book though, if it's a feint it's quite expertly done IMO.

Or to put it differently, I thought Gazglum pulled it off too well for it to be a scum ploy, and Mattimeo and Ryan did it too clumsily.
I have to run.

Thank you. Also, it goes without saying, but me quoting the below statement doesn't mean it's true.
