Q also tried to vote for me in post #5.

Seems like Uberfish is making an honest effort to catch scum, but I think Ryan was a better target than Mattimeo.
If you know what I mean.

Well so far my gut is telling me Matt is scum. Very different tone and style from last game. Much more in the vein of how he played scum with me in that long game.

Think about his first post and how its addressing several meta aspects from thestick's opening. I think its trying way to hard to "be doing" something. He's also not taking that first plunge into throwing a vote out there. Too hesitant IMO, and it smacks of scum.

I didn't really explain more when I first voted for him because I wanted to see reactions, but so far Matt hasn't voted for anyone and the tone is still trying to be "upbeat" and meta arguments.

Isn't it better to be hesitant while waiting to find a vote target ? I don't understand the logic of everyone having to have a vote on someone.

The connection is that you voted Lewwyn for voting Mattimeo and have now justified it on the basis that Lewwyn's first post contained little useful information. Well, Mattimeo's first post didn't either.

Thanks Uberfish, I get your reasoning then.

Well the conventional wisdom is that good villagers should vote even when they're unsure, or at the very least point out clear suspects. Votes are convenient because they leave a clear trail for later analysis, and they actually have real consequences. When everybody does this, it provides town with the necessary information to scumhunt.

If everybody just hems and haws, it's too easy for scum to do the same, and since nobody's really said anything about anyone, there are no clues to follow.
I have to run.

Thanks again Novice. Zak can you elaborate on why you think I am a better target? You havent given any reasoning for that claim.

I thought Uber's accusation about trying to establish a fake village tell made more sense when leveled at you than when he switched his vote to Mattimeo. I don't view meta-speculation as a scum tell, coming from Mattimeo. The same goes for non-voting, although I agree he should vote for someone. So I'm not saying you're a better target than anyone else, but it felt like Uberfish was taking a wrong turn there.
