I have come to the conclusion that everyone, including us lurkers, is insane.
For the record, BRick did not poison me. As the title and the above statement indicate, I am insane. Also, I passed the full setup to BRick, so please disregard anything he says, as the sudden influx of knowledge has most likely driven him to insanity.

For the record on this whole 'one third' stuff, I was going with one-third of the population pre-infiltration, making the Mafia one-fourth of the population post-infiltration. Yes, this discounts that the Mafia has been planting moles for the last few years...

Not even a day in and I'm already happy that I don't play. I don't understand why so many players started since a few games ago to call everyone "probably village" as soon as he makes one post that is slightly helpful. I mean sure, you need to keep note on those things for yourself, but you don't have to put it in the thread all the time. If it is a villager you only set him up for a nightkill, if he is a wolf you give him cover and a hint as to what you expect of him. Makes it easier to fake being a villager.
And apart from that, I would have jumped at least 2-3 times on Ryan already. He really needs to start wording his posts a little bit better or at least not to jump at others just because they can't read his mind. I personally also read his start as him hating zak for real and not that it is supposed to be a joke-vote.

Yeah, i can't read Ryan's tone either, but thinking i could before was a big mistake of mine. I don't like him saying 20 was lost because village thought there were less wolves than there were when there could have been one wolf and the village would have destroyed itself that game.

That's why I don't play these games any more.
Every time I tried to correct people and tell them that "probably villager" =/= villager they were just prepared to ignore me and say I'm deluded and not helping the village.

Yeah, we need some sort of a shake-up. It's very easy for a wolf person to be convincingly helpful in their posts, but still be a wolf. I could see this being an overreaction to embracing lynch all lurkers as well, if you're making an effort not to lurk, well then, you have to be trying for the good team.
Don't just look for activity and stop, look for sound reasoning, and keep on looking for it as the game goes on. Couple that with interpreting results as people are eliminated, and you have a pretty good amount of info to go on.

I've been guilty of this. I see something I like and then put someone as town too soon.
I would say everybody should challenge their assumptions and "start from scratch" at least once every day/night phase.

I can't wait for the next game I play in; I've been playing a lot of the Resistance game on IRC, and since no one ever is killed off/have their roles confirmed mid game, it's helped me develop a nose for re-examining and analyzing people as a game goes on. So hopefully, I;ll be better at this in WW.

 only 7 pages? I'm pretty sure that there will be at least 25 pages before the day is over. We are not even a 1/3 of the way done with the day and there is under 24 hours left!
Lewwyn, if he is village, should be prepared to get angry for missing the lych or wake up at 4:30 am his time. I don't understand why he gets angry though. It's pretty obvious only the last 6 hours matter so he should stop getting angry over and over again. I don't understand this. If he wants to stop getting angry he should stay up by watching 'puss in boots' because the fact that the last 6 hours only matter is not going to change. But maybe he does not want to stop getting angry in the back of his mind...
