Lewwyn seems Lewwyn, to be honest. I can't read him Day 1.

Well I thought it odd that Matt says he can't read me day 1 and yet he only voted for me Day 1 last game. He was villager there. What changed here? (Besides the fact that I'm a villager this game ) I think its harder to fake suspicion iif you know someones innocent based off your cheat sheet. Easier to say you can't read 'em.

Ok, defense wise I don't see anything to defend, Lewwyn is self defense voting essentially and azza is jumping on a possible easdy bandwagon, just because I stated the reasoning (or lack of) behind an early vote. Picking on the word Random rather than what 'initial' 'opening' 'tentative' whatever seems dumb.

The other thing I don't like is how early Novice claimed Neighbour, I can't see any need for it (Infact I struggle to believe we already have 4 (35%) roles claimed this early on in the match, are we purposly trying to make it easy on the wolves?

I also don't think you have a lot to defend because the scum tells are indefensible. My vote is not self defense voting and to categorize it as such is IMO another scum tell.

Role claiming is actually harder on the wolves in a small game like this, at least that's what I felt last game. I'm not claiming mine because I don't advocate a full role claim, but roles like miller and puppet are definitely good to preemptively claim before they cause more trouble for the village. Novice claiming neighbor makes sense because Mattimeo is on the block.

So far you have hammered on the fact that my 'random' vote had a tiny modicum of reason to it, which I would claim most peoples do, it just seems you are picking on the use of the word random which you disagree with

I am staying on novice , I am not convinced by his arguments. I think a lot of it is far fetched AND I am not letting him live just because of the idea that you shouldnt lynch him day 1.

Mattimeo described himself as being "Town Neighbour", and attacked novice over him calling himself "Village Neighbour". Now, this is not necessarily important, but I checked my PM exchanges with thestick when I was clarifying my role, as well as every single one of thestick's posts in this thread. Not once has he used the word "town", it's always village.

Given thestick's impressive consistency with the use of the word village rather than town, I am confident that Mattimeo is lying, and most likely scum.

I had noted this earlier but I thought that was part of why novice was voting for him.

Yeah, I had also factored that in already. That's part of what makes their claimed role PMs so different.

On the other hand, you apparently went from reading a role PM with the words "You are The Village Neighbour" to thinking you were a mason, which also sounds pretty strange.

I read the word neighbour but I guess my mind connected that with when Azza, Mattimeo and I were elementals together, so I just thought "masons" until Mattimeo pointed out that we were not.

I am not convinced by the wording argument. Since if role PMs gave one of them "the" and one of them "a", then Thestick has clearly messed up his wording but that's not an alignment tell.

I see what you're saying - OTOH, if Mattimeo's scum I imagine his role PM reads something like "Mattimeo, you're the Mafia Confuser" and he just guessed wrong when translating that to a village neighbour.

You can be unconvinced by my arguments that Mattimeo is scum, I don't see why that has to mean that I am scum, though. Also nobody's said anything about "don't lynch Novice on day 1".
