Fair enough, I guess. I have a hard time seeing Novice as scum and you as town, though. It's not that he couldn't accuse you based on the imaginary wording of a made-up PM; I did the very same thing in the previous game. But it's something of a coincidence if he does that, and then it turns out that your PM is in fact using non-standard wording. And I do think it's more likely that the mod would make a wording mistake if your alignments differ, because of the copy/paste argument.

To be honest, I don't really see much else to hold against you, but I think this meta is enough for a day one lynch. At least we have a scapegoat (the mod) if we're wrong...

Is there any way to reach a consensus for Mayor? I volunteer as a compromise candidate. smile

Just for me to understand Zak. Will this be the excuse if Matt was innocent? Novice will get lynched if Matti is innocent. I am not going for the scape goat.

I sincerely hope not. I still don't understand what I've done wrong here, care to elaborate?

Are people determined and/or resigned to a Mattimeo lynch? The vote isn't determined, especially with Azza the puppet being one of the Mattimeo voters.

I'm not moving my vote unless something major develops.
I have to run.

Feel free to argue against my case if it's a bad one, Ryan. Or show me a better case. If you can't do that, don't expect me to make excuses in the future if we end up with a mislynch.

That kind of rhetoric is not constructive.

For mayor, I prefer Uberfish over Gazglum.

I do think Mattimeo is scum, not everyone agrees on all the scum tells but there's just too many of them (on day 1!) to overlook. My vote stands.

also, uberfish

I am a humble man, but if the people call, I shall run. Gazglum.

Obviously I would be happy to be mayor. I am not a crook. But actually I still think we don't gain anything by mayor voting yet. Unless this deadline comes down to the wire, I think people should hold off until tomorrow before deciding on a mayor. If Mattimeo flips scum, then we will have very strong town-leans on some of the players that pushed him hard, and I would be happy to resign my candidacy in favour of one of them.

If we mistakenly elect a scum mayor now, inertia + scum buddy votes might make it harder to dislodge them later.

As for the lynches - I've caught up on the Neighbours fight now and my first thought is that it's going to be hilarious if they are both town.

I still have bad vibes from Jkaen, but I'll admit there isn't much to the case yet. Agree with Uber that Mattimeo has put up several red flags. I think the town/village debate does have weight. To summarise,

- I also got 'village' in my pm, as it seems did everyone else as nobody is admitting otherwise
- If Mattimeo was village and had got a misworded PM, he would surely be kicking up hell at the moment (rightly so) that he was going to be mislynched because of thestick's error. If he had just mis-typed his role name, wouldn't he at least be explaining that now?
- Instead, Mattimeo's last post just continues pushing suspicion against Novice. He's not even trying to defend against the wordplay argument. A villager on the edge of a mislynch should fight tooth and nail against every accusation, I'm not seeing that from Mattimeo. It feels more like the half-hearted defence of a wolf who knows they're going down.

Anyway, I agree that we'll learn more from Mattimeo hanging now. I don't like runaway votes, but half the game is asleep now and Azza could be flipped by his shadowy master, so at this point I'm willing to add my vote to Mattimeo.

Tasunke, Tasunke, my heart calls for thee...

As long as one person votes (which they will, if only for themselves), we get a mayor today.
I also got villager in my PM, but really think its irrelevant.
If we must lynch one of them, I'd rather lynch Novice

novice for mayor.

Q, is there something you're not telling us? why are you so very adamant that Mattimeo is innocent, despite all the evidence we seem to have that he is not?
