I'm new to RB, I've been reading through some completed games in recent weeks, they look like a lot of fun, so I decided to join up when I saw this.
You seem to have filled out the players already though, so maybe I will just ded-lurk somebody? Either would be good with me.
I have played a fair amount of SP FFH, though I have yet to tryout EITB, mostly Tholal's mod so far and some very small experience with general civ MP.
Hopefully I can get involved somewhere!
There's room for 1 more, so we can fit you in. Welcome.
Do you have any major objections to the settings we've currently voted on? I only ask because I'd rather not have to re-vote on what's already done. We currently have these settings:
(April 6th, 2013, 20:17)WarriorKnight Wrote: Decided settings:
Quick
Emperor
No Orthus
No Acheron
Normal barbs
Restricted Leaders
No Vassals
No Tech Trading
No Keelyn, Statis, Volanna
Simulated in-game diplomacy (can only send 1 message to each civ per turn, or a message to everyone)
Huts off
Lairs on but not located near starting positions
Living World
Compact Enforced
Things still remaining:
Boosting Starts (yes or no and if yes what type of boost?)
Starting screenshot (although it looks like we almost have a majority for yes there already)
We also need your preferred playing time for the turn order, and the email that you'll use to send the save/diplo. I don't think we have HK's email either.

Graveyards are a maybe but dungeons no. I'd just prefer everything not located near starting positions.

I'll vote for this setting.

It's occurred to me that if we want a starting screenshot, we need to have a forum and player threads first. So I'll ask for a new subforum now, and it's up to you guys to create your own threads.

For boosting the start, I don't have any strong preferences. Either a shade or super lush start is fine with me; leave it up to the mapmaker.

My email is ben dot quigley2 at mail dot dcu dot ie, my preferred playing time would be 2200 - 2400 GMT+1, I could also do 0800-1000 GMT+1.
The settings look fine to me, I have no hard preferences. Boosted start seems like a good idea for a PBEM to me, would prefer a commerce boost to a hammer one in general.
Thanks for letting me play!

I'd still welcome a dedlurker =)
EDIT:
Btw. have we agreed on a mapmaker yet?
Merovech and Q both offered. Merovech under the condition that it has to be a mirrored map for his times sake.
I'm glad you mapmakers are out there and offering since Q withdrew a few posts later that leaves us with Merovech. I'm guessing no one has got a problem with that but I wanted to make sure. We also should inform the mapmaker that he/she shall start.
Thank both of you for your kind offer!

After looking over the preferred playing times, I believe we should play in this order:
WK 0-12
sian 11-20
yellow 18-22
black sword 21-23
jalepeno 18-2
HK 23-3
With first in the order randomized of course.
Merovech, thanks for the mapmaker offer. I know you said you didn't have much time atm but have you started on the map yet?

Not trying to interfere, but with 6 players+FFH, I strongly advise a start boost more then just "lush capitals" or I can see this game dying...

Hmmmm, well I think we should almost certainly set up blitz sessions to get past the early game ASAP, but are you suggesting that isn't enough? We do have a couple of newer players should we should probably avoid too much of a variant, although it's better to hear from them personally.

I'm saying I think you'll find it hard to get many blitzes with 6 players.
