I'm not a fan of jkaen right now. Maybe it took him a while to start reading arguments instead of defending mattimeo out of a knee-jerk reaction, but I don't believe his about-face on the village/town discrepancy.

So, for future reference, when novice asked Mattimeo for his exact role name, should I have invoked the 'no quoting Role PMs' rule? Seemed a bit trivial though...

you should have made the two neighbors have identical pms so its not an issue.
Or, since its apparent one of them is scum, should have given scum the "generic village" role pm so they don't have to guess on the town/neighbor thing.


I think its obvious one is scum. hate to say it, but matt is the best guess - I'd lynch him, and if he's somehow town, novice next.

I see no other candidates. jkaen is sloppy in his wording but that is not out of character for village jkaen.

I don't think it's likey that the GM would change the role-name of a neighbor unless they were on different teams. So one of them is scum for being unable to supply the exact role name. I would go with matt due to the fact that the other person started this and so is unlikely to be wolf as this would lead to a wolf-lych sooner or later if I'm right.
