On a related note, forcing Azza to not vote is anti-town.

I wanted to be mayor. And as long as either Uber or Gaz were on Mattimeo it didn't matter. I was on at lynch time waiting for shenanigans and I was taking Azza's puppet state into account.

If the shoe fits.

If you're not scum who is?

You voted for me, your non-random, random joke vote after I voted for Matt.
Then you voted for Azza, to "help him along" his suicidal path.
Then you were convinced about Matt and voted for him.

But really who's scum then?

Obviously I would be happy to be mayor. I am not a crook.

I must say, playing with you is very enjoyable, Gazglum. lol

After rereading I think three players are rather more suspicious than the rest, I'll let others point out who they are though. Nothing revolutionary about that observation.

The Puppet Master has pretty clearly outed himself as scum here. Either that, or Azza has a "secret voting" ability and has made the whole thing up.

I thought this too. Which means Ryan or Qqq or me. I can see either messing with Azza just for fun. I know I would, but in this case I didn't.

On the other hand, if the puppeteer was scum, then what would they have done? They couldn't save Matt with a puppet vote, he was too far gone. That being the case, if I was a scum puppeteer, I would just pick more or less random actions to sow confusion. So I don't know if we'll learn much from analysing the puppet stuff tomorrow.

We're kind of at an interesting point now. Like Lewwyn, I think Jkaen is far and away the scummiest person left. I really would be surprised if he flipped town. But then, you can't just have everyone vote him in the first twenty minutes of tomorrow and then do nothing for the rest of the day. So maybe we should have a look for the mysterious Third Man tomorrow as well.

But then, you know, lynch Jkaen. hammer

Happy we got Mattimeo lynched despite the puppeting of Azza. Lewwyn, why do you think he was bussed? To me it didn't read like there was anyone really trying to take credit for the lynch. In the fairly likely scenario that Azza is village with a scum master, scum were probably hoping for a last minute switch that didn't happen.

while we're on the topic of Azza's puppeting, one thing worries me though:

thestick: Was the mayor election tie broken randomly or by some other mechanic?

Just because no one tried to take credit doesn't mean scum didn't hop on Matt in order not to be odd man out. I think it was clear that if it came down to it I was going to vote for Mattimeo. So scum had to account for my vote there. Given that there was less of a chance for a swap out to save Matt. However I agree they were probably hoping to snipe with Azza's vote. Even so look at who was left off Mattimeo.

Myself
Mattimeo
Ryan
Qg
Tasunke

Matt is already confirmed scum. I know that I am innocent. That leaves Ryan, Qg and Tasunke. If we have 3 scum I think its likely that there is 1 scum among those 3 and 1 among the Mattimeo voters. I'm biased towards ryan being innocent because he voted for Jkaen, but I'm definitely not ruling him out. Tasunke didn't vote which could just be a villager not paying attention or an active strategy. Qg already claimed miller. Despite thestick's write up claiming I don't think he's much of a trickster, I think he's capable of it, but I do think claiming miller is protown.

So I could see Tasunke or Qg being the non bussing scum and Jkaen being the bussing scum. I am curious about Zak because I'm not sure how to read his posts this day. I'm getting both positive and negative vibes from him.

I also wouldn't rule out Gaz being scum.

Ok, I get where you're coming from Lewwyn. However, if Azza's master is scum I think we're probably looking at just 1 scum puppetmaster manipulating Azza's vote. A few thoughts on players after rereading:

Tasunke - hasn't actually posted anything at all here. I think he's probably not paying attention to the forum - I don't believe that he is capable of not posting anything at all during an entire day on purpose.

Zak - after rereading I don't like his posts #41 and #49 because he says that Ryan is a better target than Mattimeo for 4-wolf paranoia, without saying why. I want an explanation of this.

Ryan - His posts just come off as sincere, with less emotional stuff to obfuscate things. Overall a town read

Jkaen - Follows novice with a 2nd "random" vote on Lewwyn, then tries to start a wagon on azza after Azza's self vote. While his tone/wording is in character, I agree that he has the most suspicious day 1 voting of anyone.

Q - Apart from the miller claim I still have no read on him.

Novice - Don't like the way he played this, and thus I don't fault anyone for finding him suspicious yesterday, but somehow he seems to be bailed out by the meta as usual.

Gazglum - Tone and style feels in line with hiis previous games where he was town. However, the game hasn't been going on for long enough to give him more than a slight town read for this yet.

Lewwyn - Probably town due to his consistent attacks on Mattimeo.

It would be easier to agree with that view if you explained what was suspicious about my play yesterday.

Ryan, I asked you the same thing yesterday, implicitly at least, and I'd like an answer:

You can be unconvinced by my arguments that Mattimeo is scum, I don't see why that has to mean that I am scum, though. Also nobody's said anything about "don't lynch Novice on day 1".

Novice it's mainly down to your early vote on Lewwyn and its explanation, which looked like an indirect defence of Mattimeo. As I said before, although Lewwyn's first post contained minimal information, Mattimeo's actually contained less, and thus your vote on Lewwyn was suspicious.
